You need to look closer. We shouldn't be listing all of the ways that the fakers can improve their products to deceive people but there are probably a half dozen other aspects of the knife that are indicators that it is fake.

Well, that's your decision and fair enough. Sounds like you are a lot more tolerant than I am of being screwed over and saying it's your fault for not researching all the possible ways you could be taken advantage of including a fake clone knife that's main purpose is to deceive people. I'm not that nice. And if you let it slide then the person may think that it wasn't that bad a thing to do and that they can get away with it again without repercussion and may be even more likely to do it again to other people and maybe even escalate what they are willing to take from and do to others.

I don't know what you're doing about the situation so maybe I'm over reacting. Hopefully you can get some type of resolution in the end.

Firstly, I'm furious. I don't have a lot of "play" money. I thought I was getting a high quality knife and was duped. I could piss and moan on a knife forum all day, or I can start saving money for the real deal. I'm choosing the latter.

if you put in the effort nicely to get him to make right and he refuses......or refuses to respond id out him on the gbu forum. thats what its for to help folks not get duped. this guy might be a victim too,.and just busy right now to respond........but what if he has a a whole bunch of these fakes and knows it and is hustling folks on trades over and over or will be. best to out him if he refuses to contact you or make right.
 
I just disassembled the fake PM2. I was surprised to see the counterfeiters put a date on the blade.

May 2012?? That knife came out mid 2016. Anythings possible but hard to believe Spyderco made those blades in 2102 then sit on them for 4 years.

I know everyone says its a fake and the lack of notches on the liner and the notch at the base of the blade also makes me think its fake, but I think before I went outing anyone that I would send it in to Spyderco and let them verify its a fake. That way their wouldn't be any doubt one way or another. Verified fake by them and still no resolution? Yep, time to out the guilty party..

Counted the number of jimping humps on the top of yours and came up with 14..on mine I counted 13 humps and also the jimping is tilted back more on mine. Bought it from New Grahams a few years ago so pretty sure its real.
 
I'm curious if the seller has done the right thing also.
If not, I'd like HT to out him so we can avoid him like the plague he is.
