Vermont Trip (Photo Heavy)

if your photos dont do the place justice, i just cant fathom.:D your "crappy" pics are better than any i have ever taken. thanks for bringing us along. I'd be sending that repairman a bill (or at least giving him a phonecall)

Very cool, W.

It is pretty refreshing to get out of the cornfields for a while, isn't it?:D

We went to Yellowstone a few weeks ago, and I can definitely understand the having to see it to believe it thing.

Looks like an awesome place there Dubz! Heck of a drive, and it sounds like there was plenty trying to keep you from having a good time, but it looks like you succeeded nonetheless!

Nice!

Makes me want to move. I could take picture of this area and show them off but I'm pretty sure everyone has seen corn. Heck I could take pictures east, west, north, and south and you'd swear it was the same picture of corn. :)

Once they harvest the corn you can see about 20 miles in any direction.

Fantastic, looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing, I like to see peoples adventures.
Thanks. Me too.

very nice pics. beautiful area. thanks for sharing.
Thanks, appreciated.

Awesome pics as usual, do you have the full size shots posted anywhere? Some of those would make beautiful desktop wallpapers...

Thanks again for sharing, your pic threads are a high point of the forums.
Thanks man, appreciate it. No, I resize, post process, and upload to Photobucket.

Beautiful stuff, Warrior. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks man. When I say crappy, I mean I didn't get any good shots of the waterfall. It was a very touristy area, and there were many people there.

Oh God yes. I hate living in the land of corn and beans. Been to Yellowstone 3 times, twice in the past few years. I love that place man, it's incredible.

Same here. All flat here in central Illinois. Corn and beans as far as the eye can see.

Beautiful pics. I love this part of the country.

I smell a Northern New England Beckerhead gathering..... :-)

Those are some awesome pics! Glad you got to have a good time in the end! Sorry to hear about your son, I had mono last summer. Tell him to get ready for the long haul. I think I was down for like 3 weeks and lost over 20 pounds haha. You thought teenagers were couch potatoes before, wait til the fatigue sets in...

great pics I've been to Vermont a few times and it is a beautiful place indeed.

Welcome to the NORTHEAST KINGDOM of VERMONT! Have lived here my whole life about 15 miles from Lake Willoughby and you couldn't find a better place to live. However, it's a tough place to "make a living"..

That's the problem with moving there....where to get a job. We were in Derby, and stopped at The Cow Palace to eat. That's the way we go to Lake Willoughby. Pop's place is right outside Morgan.

That place is gorgeous Dubz. Y'all are lucky to have a place like that to get away to, especially with family.

It sure is. Really lucky. We sure didn't think we'd be there the last few times, as Pop wants to sell it. The wife and I have been talking seriously about what it would take to move to that area. I'm so sick of looking at corn and beans, haha.

My mother was from Newport and the first trip I took was to visit there Christmas 1939. I was 7wks old.

The family had a camp at Eagle Point, Town of Derby, of course, on Lake Memphremagog, and I've spent forty-something summers there.

Lake Willoughby is absolutely gorgeous. The mountain on the east side is a nice climb. You can about drive to the summit of the one on the west. Mts. Pisgah and Hor, but I forget which is which.

God's Country for sure.

Newport is where we always go to get groceries while there, sometimes Island Pond. Derby is the way we go to Lake Willoughby, so am familiar with it as well. Didn't know that about the mountains at Lake Willoughby. Good to know. Definitely God's country.

Which lake are you on?
