Very cool stuff coming from Condor Tool!!!

They were a bit too square, and many people told them that, so it will be changed ;) The Nessmuk has the most curvature of all of them, though you can't really tell from the pics. Curved it is!!

The Leuku is about 3mm thick. There is a 5", a 4" and a 2" version.

these all look like really cool blades, but i'm really strongly drawn to that golok style blade...looks very sweet.

also cool to hear that they are releasing carbon versions of some of their stuff, i really like the patina of a carbon blade.

Condor makes some nice machetes! These new knives look pretty nice, too.

Wow those look like they'll be a big hit here:thumbup:
I thought I would never see a carbon steel machete straight from the factory with a mirror polished convex edge.
I cant wait to handle a few of them.

These are looking good. I really like the machete styles. Keep us posted on when they available to order.

Too cool! Alot of interest in these. I knew they would be a hit. I cant wait to get one to put through its paces!!

These prototype small knives were out of 1075 though
Tell me, would it be a problem if they were out of 1075? It is usually dependent on what material they have access to.

I'm a BIG fan of 1095, but truthfully you probably wouldn't be able to tell much difference in the field.

Personally, I'd prefer a 1075, I think that the heat treat on 1095 is a bit more finicky and you should be able to have a plenty hard edge with 1075. I suppose it depends on the heat treatment overall, too. I tend to think is terms of differential tempering. But a 1075 should take a wicked spring temper and hold an edge.

I like the looks of these. I'll take one of each please. The price sounds promising. Let's hope the supply up north is steady.

I can only feel a small diffirence in edge holding between Cold Steel's 1050 and Ontario's 1095. I expect Condor's 1075 to fit somewhere in between the too.

I saw cold steel gi tanto with 1055 steel being tested and highly impressed by it I think it out performed my rat 3 knife which has 1095. I believe that tat 1050 steel is has the lowest carbon content that you can still heat treat. I was actually thinking of buying one of those cheap ugly tanto and reshaping it into a nessie, but heck condo prices are so cheap I can't wait to get my hands on one of these babies. If the steel is on the par with mora, these knives are s superior value since they are a true full tang and seems thicker than mora as well.

yep. And they will continue to do so in the future!
Possibilities in the future include nessmuk axe, MICARTA versions of knives and Machetes , and other really cool stuff.

That is what I want, a micarta handle on one of the machetes! Count me in on that.

I'm disappointed there aren't any Filipino designs in there. Oh well, I'll have to wait again.

What I wouldn't give for more Asian inspired blades.

Kev

Kev, Don't fret, they are on the menu ;)

The company wants to make sure these are sellers first.

Impressed with the choices. Less than impressed with the actual wares. A golok shaped machete is still a machete. While Scandi grind knives are well liked by some, their biggest advantage comes from being easy to manufacture. And a new machete made from carbon steel? Is this some kind of innovation? The new stuff does look better than some of their shorter blades with those neoprene handles.

I wish Imcasa's whole line were available in the US. Their catalog has a very wide range of blades. I have a feeling they would be much less expensive, too. The Condor line seems mostly intended for American pocketbooks.

Condor knife and tool is owned by the parent company IMacasa. They have been making machetes for over 75 years and counting. hold on and I'll upload some pictures

I looked at their site and they have some really awesome machetes but I can't find anywhere to get one. Is there anyplace to buy them here in the US?

Nope, not yet. The new line isn't in production yet, it will be a month or more before they are ready.
