Very cool stuff coming from Condor Tool!!!

I can hadly wait. I've been looking around for something cheap and tough for work. These look perfect.
Joe, will the knives come with the nice leather sheaths that condor knives usually come with?

i'd be interested in picking up a golok or two myself as well as the nessie.

the bolo is quite a nice touch.

thanks for the pics. i hope they start producing these real soon

Golok shall be 15". There is talk of a more loop over style sheath rather than the riveted. The button closure ones don't seem as classic. Any input would be appreciated.

Golok will not have a sheath, but there could be one available seperate.

This is really cool. I used to sell the 420 Stainless machetes (more like really big knives) and thought they felt great in the hand and were made quite well. Couldn't see paying that much $ for them, but these new carbon ones should be well worth. IMO, I hope the production ones are made with 1095 heat treated to 56-58.

A co worker I worked with who knew nothing about knives, but thought she did, told me they were "pieces of chinese crap" when we first got them in, but after handling them, seeing the grind, and noticed the "made in El Salvador" on the blades, I believed them to be quite good. I figure they use machetes a lot in El Salvador, so I'd think they'd know how to build em right. Keep us posted on release dates Joe!

Condor is the only maker of stainless machetes that I'm willing to trust. They can take a lot of abuse and hold a great edge, and have comfortable handles and balance as well as useful designs and fantastic sheaths. They may be expensive compared to a standard machete, but they're marvelously cheap compared to fixed blades of even smaller sizes. I have three (combat, bush knife, viking) and plan to get more, especially now that they are coming out with carbon versions.

As a note, make sure that the www. is in front of condortk.com or else it takes you to some spam page.

WOW!!!!!!!!!I like the whole damn collection! I am really finding that the big money knives are just not worth it for me..I am to damn ruff on stuff:D I was just sharpening my Cold Steel Seax machete the other day..1/8" carbon steel made in China for about 15$..man its a tough mother..I will have to do a revue. Thanks for bringing these to our attention..I had no idea. When are they due to hit the market?? I am going to start selling a few off for these right away. That classic bushcrafter looks awesome..and the GOlok is sweet!!!! I am blown away by these..THANKS JOEZILLA!!!

Compared to Condor the Cold Steel machetes hide their faces in shame. No comparison.

:rolleyes:Yup, tough, affordable, functional, dependable, easy to get via the internet, NOT made in America....yah, no comparison what SO ever:p
I was speaking in terms of having a functional tool at a great price, inlew of spending half of ones paycheck for something that can do no more, just a cutter...I am sure a large amount of folks here can get sandy crotches and complain about politics, national origin of manufacture, favored trade nation status, religion, chubby spandex wearing ninja operatives and the like.....me, I just like a tough affordable knife or tool, and try to avoid all the drama.:p;)

Update:
The golok will have a psuedo v-grind to make it cut better on the draw cut. There is also talking of adding another knife onto the line.

All I know is that during PWYP we abused the crap out of one of their bowie machetes and it, JUST DIDN'T CARE.

It was still 'watch your self' sharp way after another tool would have folded. Can't wait to try the fixed bushcraft blades and scandis.

Would be nice if they can make a 12" golok too, I find that 12" golok is more practical and easier to use.
