Very odd Buck knife if it’s real

Maybe the low bidders will be the real winners.

That one looks like an excellent fake to me.

If you look at the stamp using the option to make it much larger you see signs of an electronic pen......maybe, maybe not. Hard to be sure until you see it in person.

Enough to definitely make it suspect.

You gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em.

If you enlarge the pic with the right side of the pommel showing, it appears that there may have been something stamped on the right side of the pommel.

It's faint, but it looks like there could be a K.......might be part of a trademark or maker stamp.

Those betting their money might do well to take this over to Bernard Levine's forum.

You gotta know when to walk away, know when to run.

........ So your high bidder now?
Just kidden,
?????

Edit.
I recall in the past some folks waiting until after an auction is over before referring to it.

I think that's a good practice.

You seem to have a fascination with that knife.
I take it you've studied, collected, and handled many pre-factory knives.

Eveled asked a question.
I asked three more.
Instead of answering.......you're making snide remarks.
If you have no answers, maybe being quiet instead of attacking would be a better way?
If I'm misunderstanding you.......what's the point you're trying to make?

Difficult to price and value something that is one if a kind hand made.

If real it comes from a time when Buck knives was still in its infancy. There would have been lots of variations. it could be made to the spec of the buyer so it doesn’t follow the norm for that era.

No way to know for sure. But I trust Gedlics judgement and opinion.

Der Verminator - Your comments and attitude regarding DeSotoSky's post are completely uncalled for.

Seriously?

I felt he was making fun of me and asked him to explain.

That was called for......at least in my humble opinion.

I accept his apology and bear no grudges.

I notice that the experts have not yet answered the four questions that have been posed above.

It would be nice to have answers instead of hostility.

Very true.

So it appears the only thing the buyer has to go by is a stamp that may or may not be legit.

It's a gamble.......as I have been saying.

Sorry if that opinion offends some people. It's just what I think.

:)
