Yes, you sent knife, i receive ok and i wrote you back, give me time,two-three weeks, i need time and i will ask my friends, known peoples and etc. for some interesting coins from communistic era for you, okey... by month and one week i sent to you ( over EMS post system, its something similar like a USPS) more than 50 coins, every coin was packed to newsletters like a prevention against theft (no sound from package...) some silver and anniversary-from communist congress and etc., very interesting for collectors...i sent you short mail, that i sent it - no reply from you.

A few comments:
First you will notice in my post I did NOT identify the person nor make any disparaging comments. I still am not in possession of enough data to know what really happened and I refuse to make judgements with incomplete data.
I posted this absurd story to get feedback and to find out how others would deal with this and whether this had happened to anyone else.
The facts are:
Knife went out expressmail 9/15-sent by my secretary- as I had not returned home via office, I e-mailed that evening that it went out expressmail and assumed my secretary kept the tracking # if we needed it.I did not e-mail tracking #.
e-mail on 9/29 to check- Received e-mail that knife arrived 9/30.
e-mailed her 10/7, and 10/17-Her e-mail answer WAS THE LAST E-MAIL I RECEIVED FROM HER Was never notified of ANY shipment my way.I e-mailed her 11/7. 11/22/ and 11/26- to enquire what was happening.
GOT NO RESPONSE.
At 2 month anniversary e-mailed that I felt had and disappointed.
I am sorry this caper has resulted in stress and disappointment- I apologize for anything I did to contribute to the snafu. What reallyhappened may never be known.

sounds like the Internet / email gremlins were conspiring with the postal goblins here....it appears that both parties did send emails / messages, which were unfortunately not received by the other. a miscommunication.

Things happen. Emails don't get delivered. Packages get lost. Both parties get angry and don't think about the possibilities of what really happened only what they think happened. Things like this occur everyday. What actually happened we might never know but both parties involved tried to make things right. BTW you never lost e-mail message? If not, you are lucky guy. I send many messages daily and many are never delivered. That is why I use 3 SMTP servers to make sure they make it. Not everybody does that - or has a chance to do it.
One more thing - how would you want her to make sure post office will indeed deliver the package? Fly with it?

Well - I had one customer who never got my e-mail and I was getting his. We got together only because I called him - and had to leave message - he had some kind of block on the phone (and my number did not show). Anyway, I am glad that some people understand e-mails can get lost (BTW HE = surgiblade did not respond to her message). I am also glad I send all packages registred = signature required - otherwise I would be sending them all over... (and that I do not have to deal with you).

Thanks surgiblade for letting us all know this happens nice to be kept up to date. Please anyone who has the same problem same goes no names only problems.
Nifrand now there back in contact with each other why not sit back watch and let them sort it out. We don't know if it was post, servers, theft,misunderstanding or what we can guess, but don't jump to quick.

I once made a trade with someone from the US. I send the parcel and it arrived pretty quick in the USA. I had the shipping # of my parcel and it didn't seem to move at all, it just stayed in the US. After 3 a 4 weeks i received the parcel, they found the TRADED knife, but i had to pay import taxes on the knife, VAT and EU taxes. I already mailed the guy, and told him that i thought my parcel was lost, but was glad that he got MY knife an was pleased with it. About a week later i did receive the parcel, it was not the fault of the sender, just the postal systems.
The Tsjech State have one very interresting exportproduct "SEMTEX", it is almost certain that all foreign mail from the Tsjech republic is routinely scanned for these very powerfull explosives, just as mail from Belgium is ALWAYS checked because whe are the biggest export country for XTC partydrugs.

It appears as if Surgiblade is willing to calmly await the outcome of the shipping process and it seems as if Simona has conducted some tracking info to attempt to determine when/if the parcels will arrive. Sounds as if (from her description) that the parcels may have gotten "intercepted" in NY, USA but since she seems to have described tracking the shipment, I'm sure that she has (or will) provided that info to Surgiblade. Some possible complications but nothing to have a tantrum about.

Calm down bro. If you have something personal against Simona, then just avoid business and/or dealings with her. Name calling won't help and since you do not have any investment in the scenario, do not antagonize the parties involved and possibly cause further loss.

No offense Nifrad, but it seems u are a mod in the custom knives room. I think u jumped a little fast on the bandwagon here. Especially seeying that you are a mod your rather agressive approach seems weird. Maybe it is because of external circumstances that we don't know, or u have been in the same situation. I have some experience with the international postal systems and they sometimes seem to have laws of their own. I don't think Simona was trying to scam this guy. Those parcels go thru a lot of hands during processing including X-ray machines. Just the fact that there seems to be coins in a parcel could attract customs attention. Maybe the Customs are working out what to do with the coins. I feel sorry that the guy still hasn't received his rightfull property. If she can show that the parcel left her country and went to the US, the problem seems to be in the US and it is "officially" not Simona's responsability, but the poor guy still hasn't recieved his parcel either.
