Vic Cadet

I use a suspension clip to suspend the larger SAKs in the pocket. If you like a thicker knife but it's too big for the bottom of the pocket, try it!

I once did a 30 day challenge with a Cadet. I found that could do almost everything I ever wanted to do with that little guy. I also found that it is a little to small for my liking. I really liked the size of the Pioneer better.

Blades are easier to open on the Cadet, though; that's why I keep it around.
The Cadet is one that I haven't purchased yet. That will happen. I tend to prefer one of the larger Vic SAK models for day to day use/carry. But frankly, the Cadet would do just about everything I do with a knife on a normal day.

I got 2 clips like that for My Tinker and Super Tinker SAK's. Love them! Keeps the knife tucked neatly against one side of the pocket, making it easier to fish out that other junk I keep in there ;)

Didn't start looking yet, but where can I pick a few of those up brother???
Thanks!
Joe

The Tec P7 is the smallest one, but they are about $12 each on Amazon. Other options include the Nite Ize pocket keychain clip for $8 at Lowe's, Lucky Line Secure-A-Key is like $3, or you can hit the bay and look up EDC suspension clips and get them cheap. I also have a wide one I made from spring steel stock but the glossy finish scuffs so easy it looked like hell after a week :(

Thank you brother!!
Need a few.......Squirt, Juice and the 2 SAKs.

I need to pick up a couple of those clips for when I carry something like the One Handed Trekker. The 111 mm three layer sak is just a tad big for me to carry normally in a pocket. I'm a big fan of the larger 111 mm SAKs.

I love the way the green has worn Bryce!!
Reminds me of that perfectly broken in pair of sneakers!!
Too cool!
The tool I use most, by far, is the bottle opener. It's the perfect size and shape to adjust belt driven motors!
Whooda thunk it???
Very handy tool!!
Joe

That's more like it! I'm partial to this beat up old green one:

What's your most used tool on it? I probably use the end of the file most. Either as a Phillips #1 or as a little pry tool.

Does the bottle opener on your Cadet have a half-stop? Mine does not. I'm wondering if the Cadet has changed to a half-stop since then, or if it just doesn't incorporate that feature on its bottle opener. Not that it really affects the function on my Cadet's bottle opener.

No 84mm SAK bottle opener has a half-stop. Only the combo tool does it have (e.g. on the Bantam)

I have 3 Alox cadets and all have a half stop on the bottle opener/large screw driver. I use it if I am turning a difficult screw.

My Victorinox recruit is an 84mm Victorinox model with half stop on its cap lifter / driver.
I bought it in November, so maybe they switched recently.
