Vintage lobsters let's show'em

Thanks Vanguard. I've been roaming around this forum for awhile and know that my choice of patterns (and handle materials) of knife collecting are not the more popular knives usually discussed here, but they are traditional and were some of the higher quality knives made in their time. I've enjoyed being able to share them and I think even exposed the lobster style to some other BF members.

Here is another Remington, gunstock whittler lobster. Charles

This one is similar to your Post #50 Sears and Roebuck (1927-1940). Its a 2 5/8" sleeveboard lobster with nickel silver liners. I cant read the etching on the main blade other than the #9476. The blade tang says Stainless/Steel/U.S.A. It not up to the quality of yours but I enjoy it. Wish I could find more info on it.

Nice little sleeveboard. Suffers from a common malady of the shadow pearls with a chip out of the end. I've got quite a few with this condition. Blades look good and full though. Thanks for posting. Charles

Charles, I'm enjoying this thread. I don't have any photos of lobsters to contribute but I can contribute a few high resolution scans from original ads.

I'm happy that you like the scans, Charles. I thought you might have some of those knives in your collection! I haven't scanned all the knife pages from the HSB catalog yet so I looked through it and found a few more.
