Vintage lobsters let's show'em

Thanks, I never really paid attention to the design before this thread, but looking at the great knives displayed let me realize that I've carried one constantly, and made me look up the maker, which has been an investigation on its own- not much info out there!

I appreciate all of the work put into displaying the knives in this thread, and opening my eyes to another facet if collecting!

Thanks for the nice comments. I have loved these early "Gentleman's knives" for many years and am very fond of pearl folders. Happy to have exposed these beauties for others to see and enjoy. Here is another one I picked up at the recent Tulsa show: J. Howarth / Sheffield / England (1920-pres) sleeveboard lobster, 2 blades and scissors, with file. 3” closed , brass liners. Blades marked Hand Forged. Charles

Holy smoke Charles!!! That is a super sales man's sample. A fantastic addition to a great collection. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations, Barry

Barry: Thanks, it is a beauty and even prettier in person. It's one I didn't have in my NYK group. Charles

I've posted these in another thread, but they really nice lobsters so I'm going to post them again here. This one is New York Knife Co. gunstock whittler lobster (aka Orange Blossom) with the Hammer Brand arm logo stamp. Charles
