Vintage teardrop jacks!

I have to add a nice vintage one to my collection one of these days. All I have are modern GEC #85 based ones. I've let a few of these go already but here are some pics I took when I did have them.

Camillus 4-line that appears to have had a run-in with a less-than-steady handed sharpener, and AF Bannister & Co with a really interesting bone pattern

Trand, that is a crazy gathering of 85EO's. That prim bone is sweet too, but those JBF's... mmmm.

Trand - I am once again blown away by your post!

I was wondering where they all went. :) (Them and all the the 48s) :D:eek:

Hmmmm, I'd consider this more of a swell end than a tear drop, but I'll post it up anyway. Sent it to a new member, don't know if he's still around or not. I miss this knife, it was really about the perfect knife.

Great lookin knives guys! I have plenty of the newer but the older ones really get me going.
In order from left to right, Ebony Camillus, Jig bone UTICA WARRANTED, a hard knife to find anytime! Jig bone Shuredge Robeson, Ebony HSB and last but not least by any means is the ever popular Brass Remington. The fact that they're all EOs is an added bonus!

Almost left these out, 2 brothers, PAL CUTLERY one Spear EO and one with big Clip and nice long pulls.
Rogers bone on both.

tstaut and singin50 and Trand

Just wonderful looking knives!! Thanks for sharing these...what a treat:D

I know what you mean Gev! I found the first Pal Clip in Jacksonville, TX at an antique store when I wasn't even looking for knives. Then a few years later I got the Pal EO at a knife show in Oregon. OKCA I believe, so quite a distance between those 2 locations. Can't remember where I found the Utica, it has some bad nicks in the main blade but it's all still there.

Here are a few 85s and a few oldies, some swell ends in the bunch.Have a great sunday folks.

Best regards

Robin

Great photos and beautiful knives, everyone! Thanks for the contributions!

Glad to see this thread bumped up. I missed it first time around. Some mighty fine old/new teardrops in this thread!

I must have missed it, too. Holy Cow, almost every knife in this thread is absolutely stunning! Wood, bone, brass; EO or not; barehead or bolster; they all look good to me. Definitely another pattern for my wish list. Thanks for all the great photos of super knives, everyone:thumbup:

Ooohh, Brisket, that Schatt and Morgan is NICE!

Pipeman, please stop posting that 85 harness jack. I'm running out of paper towels to clean up all this drool! :D

Thanks Dan! Here it is next to an 85 for size comparison. It is longer and thicker than the 85.
