Viper Fortis

I had to apply blue loctite to the pivot screw as it kept coming loose. I also tightened all other screws including scales, lock bar insert and clip as needed but did not apply loctite to them. Will check in a few days to see if they come loose again.

Overall, it's a great slim flipper.

It looks like GM2 has the frame milling and M390 steel of Italo. Hopefully, it's not as big!

I'm very happy with my Fortis CF. The loctite around the pivot fixed the issue. It's very slim. It's a compromised detent to allow opening easily by blade hole and flipper but by no means is it a weak detent. Can't believe it was just $172 for a bearings flipper, titanium frame lock with steel insert, titanium clip/backspacer, CF and M390. All made in Italy!

Nice. My full TI version has broken in nicely and I'm perfectly happy with it too. I'm on vacation for Christmas right now and it's the knife with me for the duration.

Nice EDC setup. I think the rest are Maratac AAA flashlight (I have it in solid copper), Victorinox Cadet Alox Silver (I have it various colors) and Hinderer Investigator Pen (I have it in titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper).

The flashlight is actually the Thrunite TI3. I've thought about picking up a Maratac but haven't yet.

Sounds like we've got similar edc tastes. [emoji6]

To anyone here with one of these knives, I'm interested in getting one of these in hand. I don't need to do any real usage tests, I just want to see if the frame lock will experience issues that others do in my hand.

In short, I have oddly proportioned hands that sometimes cause framelocks to over travel, creating lock stick or lock rock. Some are affected, some arent.

Since I can't find one of these in a b&m store, I'm offering a FREE MIRROR EDGE SHARPENING to one customer just so I can handle the knife for a moment. I'll even cover return shipping with insurance.

I want to stress though, that I won't actually be causing any over travel on the lock. I've enough experience with them now that I can tell whether or not the issue will occur depending on where it rests in the palm.

Just shoot me an email or PM if interested.

Nice knives everyone.

I just received my CF/stone wash version today.
Strong detent, well centered, no problem with catching on the knife tip and it flipped smoothly.

I am very impressed for the knife at the price point and even at a higher price.

Very nice! Glad to hear it. Does your carbon fiber scale have any small voids or pits in it? Just curious.

My full TI version is keeping me company this Christmas Eve night. ☺
