Visalia Hammer-In

That looks like all kinds of fun... Mike Vagnino is a GREAT guy.. I spent a few days at his house a while back and he helped me make my first folder.. He and his wife treated me like gold, and it was an incredible time... Great thread!

Yeah he's cool. I've been to his place before. Mark and I are going over to see him this Thursday.

So when are you guys going to take this show on the road for the benefit of those who cannot travel there?

Hey Don, it would have been nice to have you there but we did have someone present who resembles you a lot!

Nice group shot. By the way nice one brick forge...A little history about that...David Ryder invented that and was featured in a pic inside on of Wayne Goddards blade making pubs...Dave invented this while figuring out the best type of torch set up that was the most efficient for heating a small chamber and presented it to Wayne. If you notice in the recent blade magazine Wayne did an article on a new way to use a one brick set up for putting a blue back draw for blades...the thing works like a gem....Thank you David Ryder and Wayne Goddard for helping the knife making community....Peace

Awesome stuff guys! I should have took a detour from Vegas and joined you! Mike and I could have had a strip tease contest for that awesome lil scandi he scored. Lucky bastid!!

WTF??? How did I miss this thread...

Great pics!! Looks like a hella good time was had by all. Damn I hope you guys do another one someday when Im out there.....

Christof! You rock dude. You look like a totally differant person. Thats awesome.

Really cool thread.

PS- I must have a colab knife sometime. Nice design Nick.

J W, you should just move here to Visalia, we could do this twice a year, and the ABS sanctioned Hammer-in is here too...

No Joke! You think they look good in he pics.. you should see them in person!! Like a drug I tell you... can't get enough.

ha.. i would have to agree.. i couldn't put those 2 knives down..and guess who is getting one of those awesome Mark W. and Ray L. colab. knives... :D  :D

Mike, fixed blades are something I am going to be stepping away from for a while! so enjoy these co-labs! I am taking my work in a different direction for a while and see what happens. So fixed blades from me will be few and far between....notice I said FIXED blades....

DAMN IT! That is great you are exploring other aspects of knife making, but you fixed blades are awesome! Guess I'll have to stock up a couple Wohlwends before the shortage hits! lol
