Voodoo Child

This one perked me up!

Can't wait to see it come into full fruition, but so far I love what I am seeing!

My mommy didn't breast feed me. I spent the first two weeks of my life in an incubator,... alright?

Someone throw me a bone here!

That's cool Tai,

Most of my visions come to me in that time right before I try to fall asleep, but cant for knife visions dancing in my head.

Cant wait to see this finished

Thanks.

That's when I have most of my visions too, that zone between awake and asleep. That’s when the knives turn inside my mind. It's a form of meditation I guess…

I woke up this morning with some fresh ideas, and worked out a design for the handle. Now if I can just pull it off.

... if you meditate on a problem or question as you are falling to sleep, your subconscious mind will continue to work on it while you are asleep. You will wake up with the answer,... if you are open to it...

The mind never rests, and is always trying to give you the intuitive solution.

Listen to your inner voice. :)

… and it always helps if you bury a bag of fresh chicken bones three feet directly north of your anvil at midnight on a full moon. :D

Tai, there's some sort of sea thing living like at 56 billion leagues under the sea (or maybe 13 inches below at Rockport, Tex). It's shaped just that blade of yours, except it is semitrical, having the "wing" on both sides of it's body. Has some sort of generator also and produces enough electricity to made psycho lights on each side. Well-meaning little fishies from the area are attracted by the light and swing by hopeing to get a bite of this tasty looking tid-bit. Well, that's all I have to say I guess.

I am curious to see what you come up with for the handle on that one. It's a very interesting blade to say the least.

some wise words said,

I dont really know how to meditate or that much about religion (if anyone does lol)

But I find that everything I do I knew was going to happen in someway

There are many different types and techniques of meditation and mind control. Although it's not a religion in and of itself, most religions use some form of it.

It's about using the brain in different ways, inducing different states of mind or brainwaves. For example, when I am in my normal waking mind, I can't turn a three dimensional object and see it from all angles in my mind,…. but when I meditate it comes effortlessly...

I've been practicing different forms meditation for over 35 years and it has become a part of daily routine. There are also lots of health benefits from it.

Waves in the handle ? Or staunch techno-primative ? :D

Hurrry uuuUp !! (in my best little kid voice)

I spent most of the last few days out in the desert searching for the right piece of wood for the handle. I finally found this piece of “stag horn cholla” cactus skeleton that I think might work. It still needs to get carved down and filled. I'm thinking of using pinon pine rosin for the filler and giving it at top coat of Frankincense rosin for a varnish. I also had to make a special hot punch for the raised "nipple" shaped ( back to my breast feeding fixation, hee hee!) solid copper end piece, and twist up some copper wire for the wrapped ferrule.

The handle design is going to be fairly simple so as not to distract from the blade, but it will combine curvilinear forms with straight lines in keeping with the blade forms.

I guess I won’t know exactly how it will all work out,… until it finally all comes together.

I'm thinking about calling this one "The Ripper".

We’ll see…

Meditation describes a state of concentrated attention on some object of thought or awareness. It usually involves turning the attention inward to a single point of reference.[1] The benefits of the practice can engender a higher state of consciousness...

I don't consider myself a religious man, BUT,... there is more to life than feeding the physical gut!

religion aside, meditation simply put ,means to think, concentrate, sometimes I think its a fine line bewtween meditate and obsession.
