Always have a SAK (Explorer Plus); a locking folder (70% of the time) or slipjoint (30%) accompanies it.

I voted for fixed blade since I always carry either my RAT RC4 or my H.I. R-10 horizontaly accross the back. I also generaly have my Benchmade Dejavoo with me.

Some polls should allow for multiple votes.

I didn't vote because for many years my EDC combo has been a Vic Soldier or Pioneer teamed up with a locking folder of some type. To vote for either one alone would have been somewhat misleading.

The locking blade knife has usually been either a small Sebenza or a Strider SnG.

dan :)

Mostly, what I've been carrying for quite a while is either a BM940D2CF or a Spyderco Calypso 3 ZDP/CF. But I still mix it up occasionally with an automatic or a balisong. Gotta love free states like AZ!

I carry all kinds of folders but in order of frequency

1- Slippys
2- One handed liner locks / framelocks / Lockbacks

If I am only carrying one knife, it's probably a slipjoint.
But often I carry both a slipjoint and a one-hander

Hey Knarfeng, considering how close you live to Ventura, you ever made a trip to the Cold Steel Headquarters? Sounds like the type of place camo-wearing teens would flock to.

Kershaw Mini Mojo with a Dinosaur Bone insert when out and about. Lone Wolf Double Duty when in the yard or shop as I beat on this knife and its S30V blade.

If Cold Steel had been there 40 years ago when I was a teen, I might have. Today, Stone Brewery is closer and sounds more inviting.

I mailed a package today.

Ooh. Guess that means it's time to watch the post religiously (again). I've always wanted to make a trip to a knife manufacturing plant, but up around here, I don't think there's anything around. Perhaps a trip to Boulder, CO is due for the summer.

Last time I went through Colorado, that morning sunrise was simply amazing. Wish I could've stayed to really experience what it's like to live in a state other than California. Sure, California's nice and all, but it's definitely a bubble.

I didn't vote, since I EDC 3 knives--a slipjoint, a locking folder, and a fixed blade. The slipjoint is a Case swayback, the locking folder alternates between a zdp delica and a BM 530, and the fixed blade is a RAT Izula. And I use them all just about every day. :)

I tend to EDC Lockbacks such as the Buck 110 and the Spyderco Police. Also a couple of small custom fixed blades occasionally make their way into the rotation.

I always carry a one-handed locking folder and it' s either accompanied by a SAK or alternatively a multitool. But I always carry a folder so thats where my vote went to.

I own all kinds of knives and find myself carrying some sort of slippie more often than not. There just something to be said for carrying a traditional knife and using it. I normally carry a Axis lock or FB around the yard.

Why are all one handed openers tactical?

I dont carry a Strider, or Extrema Ratio, or Mantis.

I can open most of my knives with one hand, but I dont think any of them have "operator" status. (except maybe the 0500 MUDD).

Ah screw it, usually I carry my Izula these days anyway. And an SAK.

I voted for the one handed knife it usually rides in my right front pocket. That being said I almost always carry a Case CV stockman in my watch pocket, a SAK in my left front pocket and a multi-tool on my belt.
