W.R. Case & Tony Bose Collaboration 2009 - Norfolk Wharncliffe

Hi guys my first post on this forum, hope it's OK to post a pic.

I have just had a good look at the Case/Bose Norfolk knives shown throughout this thread, beautiful examples, a very attractive pattern.

I think the old Joseph Rodgers & Sons 3 blade Norfolk Knife a real classic, very similar in looks to the new Case/Bose 2 blade version.

That is a nice one, Mick, thanks for posting the picture of an earlier Norfork. And welcome to the traditional forum.

Oh My Mick  Thats is a stunner right there. Any way we can see it with the blades closed with a pic from the over view?

Thanks for the warm welcome Thomason & 4ever3.

Thanks Mick! Those original Joseph Rodgers Norfolk knives are just nearly impossible to find - one in this condition is astounding.

Friends,

I can see that there may be a Huge problem brewing here with the Norfolks! Some of you may be thinking or already have a "pouch" or "purse" to carry your Norfolk in!

Do you have in your possession the Authorization from Tony to carry and use this Purse? If not...Shame on You!!!

I recall Tony signing some authorization forms, and then making the comment, "Real men don't carry purses"! :D

Just saying.., And I do have a ebony norfolk in my pocket, and it seems to ride well, without a Purse! ;)

Mick, that's an outstanding knife you showed us there thank you.

Really shows some of the Collaboration's gene-pool, makes it even more authentic.

I think you might also like to post those pix over in the Old Knives thread, I'm sure there'd be a lot of appreciation there too.

Mick, Welcome!!!
And thank you for bringing that beautiful Norfolk "over here"!:D
It is such a well preserved example, it's like a trip back in time to a different era of the fine art of folding cutlery.

Thanks for the positive response on the old J R & Sons Norfolk knife and the warm welcome to the forum guys, much appreciated.

Mick :)

I've been carrying my Norfolk a lot since it came back from Case(because Tony has caused me to be a picky SOB):p. I was remarking with a fellow forum buddy how great a knife this is to carry. At 3 5/8" closed, this is just about the perfect sized pocket knife to carry in the front or watch pocket. Because of it's shape, it seems to just disappear. It's arced opening usually ends up faced down which means pocket lint is less likely to collect there. It's a very slim knife as well...2 blades on a single backspring, so it's light and compact.

When using the knife, there are no obtuse corners anywhere on the blades which helps to make it feel good in the hand with either blade in use.

Anyway, that's what I'm thinkin.

I just bought one of these in antique bone, and can't wait till it gets here. I had been debating about getting one of these for months, and this thread convinced me. Thanks for all the great photos and reviews!

Great thread! Read it all the way through, and now I have an ebony on the way. Cant believe they are still so easy to find considering there were only 200 made...

Excellent choice! The Norfolk is one of my favourite knives, period. I have three of them and would buy more if the price was right. Enjoy it!
