hey everybody!
okay.. first off.. when i say water hamon.. i mean that the hamon LOOKs like water.. to me it looks like a stream of water over a bed of rocks.

but on to the spesifics:

Forged W1 steel
OAL: 9 3/4"
6" cutting edge
blade thickness tapering from 1/4" to the tip
handle is rayskin wrapped with silk ito
Convex japanese ground
hybrid polish

the knife was polished sharp, and is a razor. the hamon is more detailed than shows up in the pictures. i really cant bear putting this knife in a kydex sheath, but i am really bad at leather work, so i am selling the knife only. if you twist my arm i might be able to work something out..

ths knife is SOLD! thanks yall

please let me know what you think

thanks!

So nice  Unluckily I have to skip this because I already have a commitment for a 3 months payment plan (i.e. October, November & December) for another knife. I guess this W1 tanto with "water" hamon won't be long around here

I think that that blade is crying out for a beautiful burl handle. The blade does deserve better. IMHO.

Wow! Wow-wow-wow-wow-wow!!!

That hamon is INCREDIBLE! I love the way you continue it up onto the spine (4th pic). We'll have to refer to you as "The Hamon King" from now on.

For those who don't like the handle, you could always buy the knife and rework the handle to your liking...

i have some maple burl... but i dont know.. if you want the knife and want me to change it. i will i have some maple burl, and some redwood burl. if it doesnt happen on this knife, it will on the next.
thanks for the feedback.. i really do appreciate it

Wow that hamon is nice! I actually like the wrapped handle. It keeps with the oriental? theme of the knife:thumbup:

well.. the handle is wrapped.. but it is all steel. it isnt a small tang.. i mean i could grind it down and all, but then i like the wrapped look.
next time, i will make a smaller tang and do a wooden handle.
thanks for the feedback
is 350 too much you think?
thanks!

Chris, I love it. but I think it should be mounted with a wooden handle and saya, into a kwaiken.

I'd love to take it off your hands, but alas, I'm not flushed with funds.

hmm
well... am taking the price down..
and if it doesnt sell..
well i might just put it in a handle and saya. we will see.
thanks guys
~Chris
