W1 tanto with "water" hamon

I'm becoming redundant with my replies to your threads, Chris... your work is gorgeous! Stop asking for justification of your pricing! Your work and designs are worth it, and they show it. LET THEM SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!

...how are you liking Parks#50? Looks like it's treating you well!

i have some maple burl... but i dont know.. if you want the knife and want me to change it. i will i have some maple burl, and some redwood burl. if it doesnt happen on this knife, it will on the next.
thanks for the feedback.. i really do appreciate it

I agree with other posters - go with your instincts. Nothing good was ever designed by a committee.

Good snag. I like it how it is. Get to know the knife for a bit, and then if you want to put on a different handle you can pick exactly what you want.

Very nice.

thanks you guys...
(i didnt see that there was a second page of comments till just now.. (oops))
anyway... thanks so much for the encouragment! i have some pretty burl wood that i will do the next tanto in, and we will see how that turns out.. actually.. i am thinking of doing a carved handle. right now i am kinda swamped with projects... but i am working on getting through those so i can work again.
thanks for the feedback

*grins* thanks man! and the parks #50 is treating me very well.. i AM going to try water one of theses days.. after watching walter sorrells do it.. i think i could make it work. i was getting my blades too hot, letting them soak for too long it would seem. so i am going to try some new stuff.. but i really like parks. good stuff that.
thanks again!

Hey Chris,

The knife arrived today and I have to say that it's even finer than I expected!

Beautiful shape and exquisite hamon.

At the risk of seeming overly enthusiastic I feel that it's a real privilege having one of your knives.

Many thanks,

Hank
