Wait... Fixall has a website? Giveaway!!! - Winner(s) chosen!

What a sweet giveaway and congratulations on the website! Before I got too busy for it, I was beginning to get I into making fixed blades with my son. Maybe we can get some of your materials and try again.

Picking a favorite material is very hard. I love the texture and look of stag. I love the mesmerizing quality of black horn. I love the deep figures and chatoyance of ironwood, and the dark hues of Ebony and African blackwood. Even micarta has a great texture and feel. I like them all!

But probably my favorite right now is this amazing jigged bone:

An entry for Dave Gentry, knowtracks knowtracks !!
Brian, you have been very generous to me, and I thank you, and wish you the best in your Handle Supply biz!! Dave is an avid collector, and friend, and has been under the weather lately, so if I may, I pass my chance on to him!!
I truly cannot decide which my fave handles are, but up near the top, is vintage Westinghouse!! And made by Ken, is the icing on the cake!!!KenSerpJack 1.jpgKenSerpJack 2.jpgKenSerpJack 3.jpg

Congrats on the website and new business.

Hard for me to choose between wood and vintage jigged bone so my favorite is both ;)

Thanks for the chance in the GAW !

I'm certainly in :D Love a decent Spear and many thanks for this GAW - power to your flourishing business, a very interesting one too:thumbsup:

Favourite material is really difficult to say it's really a case of what I don't like (a couple) so it can vary from day to day /knife to knife but really Ram's Horn is hard to beat

Thanks, Will

Not an entry from me please, I've already been a beneficiary of your kindness Brian, but I just wanted to wish you every success with your new project, to thank you for this generous giveaway, and to wish all the entrants good luck :)

I'm in 😁
What a generous GAW ! And congratulations to have open it to a maximum of members. I really appreciate it 😁

I have to say that my favorite material for handles is pretty rare. It's the horse hoof. I've discovered it in Sardinia. It's stronger than horn because it grows under hundreds of kilos, and it can be as beautiful as tortoiseshell. But it's very hard to work with.

And it can be very diverse

But some woods are also beautiful and sometimes ignored despite easy to find in some countrysides, like cytise wood (also called honeysuckle)

Thanks again.

I find it quite difficult to choose but I guess my favorite cover material would have to be wood...
...no stag... or micarta but then there's horn and ivory...
Don't know for sure but wanting to enter your generous GAW and liking this pic, today my favorite is... Stag.

Best wishes for you continued business success and thanks for the chance to win such a desirable blade.

Well, it’s not very often they I find myself astonished, but that is exactly where I find myself this morning after catching up. Thanks JonMcD JonMcD and Angry Waiter Angry Waiter you are very generous to nominate me and I appreciate it.

I grew up in a small town in Wyoming named Riverton so that is why my interest in this knife is so high. More info here on the town’s history here: https://www.britannica.com/place/Riverton

As for covers, my favorite is wood, with these two (Karelian Burl and African Blackwood) being among my favorite woods.

As much as I love the look of well jigged and dyed bone, especially the old stuff, and the durability of micarta, the practically of good ol' delrin, I still can't help but love WOOD! 20230816_075938.jpg
Today's carry for example. I love Ebony quite a bit, but really figured wood is great as well. I'm not sure what wood is on this old WW2 era Camillus, perhaps rosewood. It looks dark as Ebony in pics but in sunlight actually has some great deep color.
