How many of you militant anti walmarters have Sam's cards? I do- but the reason I don't like walmart is not politcal, I just don't like the atmosphere of the store.

But I DO like the products they offer, especially for the prices. Plus they have a hundred checkouts so I never have to wait in line.

I'm all for walmart carrying high end knives at lower prices than on line retailers. Of course I'd prefer them not putting mom and pop out of business- but if it didn't work that way, Sam's and Walmart wouldn't offer us what they do. And you DO know municipalities have the choice of whether walmart comes or not, right? If they really wanted to protect mom and pop, they would deny new walmarts, and the growth, jobs, and taxe$ they bring.

Capitalism is a bittersweet bitch huh? Too bad there isn't some sort of socioeconomic system that regulated prices, and controlled profits, so that everyone came out equal, independent of trivialities like brilliant business planning and hard work...

Has anyone tried explaining to friends why the S30V Native is so superior to the other knives in the case. I try to do it in a few sentences so they don't get bored with the explanation. Its not easy.

I imagine my spiel would be along the lines of "The ergonomics are great so your hand won't get sore quickly, the lock is reliable so it won't close on your hand, and Spyderco's customer service is great and will fix some problems for free." Most people you'd have to say this to don't use a knife long to worry about the first, but I imagine the last two would get their attention.

My Walmarts don' sell Spyderco's, heck they don't even display knives only show pictures of them.
