Walking Dead : Daryl's Season 5 knife (Sort of) Identified.

I wonder why they stopped using the TGLB to begin with, it may have been lost in one episode, but no one really knew for sure.

I guess tribute = inferior blatant ripoff.

Somebody needs to buy one of these and chop it in half with a TG. On video.
 
He lost it in Terminus. Fine. Give him a new knife. Don't knock off the TG and replace it with that. Makes no sense. Where would Daryl have gotten it?
 
Hillbilly ingenuity? Maybe he made it. Sure looks like it.

Sarcastic or not, that's a great example of how effective any kind of product placement is in TWD. I wouldn't be surprised if AMC or Kirkman's company demands a fortune from any knife-maker who wants their blade to appear in a character's hand... or head. Maybe they wanted more money than Busse was willing to pay (I'm guessing). As far as product placement, Daryl or Rick would be the 'platinum' package, Abraham or Glenn or Michonne (when she's not using the sword) would be 'gold' options, and so on. The price might be too high for quality knife-makers; only companies like Gerber can afford to risk it.
 
Just as I was sweet talking my wife into buying me "Daryl's" knife they changed it. I wouldn't want that crap.
 
Carol sucks for not grabbing it when she recovered his crossbow. Also there was a video game that was supposed to be a canon backstory for Daryl , and in it his Busse was kind of special to him , as well as his crossbow.
