Walking Dead : Daryl's Season 5 knife (Sort of) Identified.

Is it just me, or does it look like there is no tang to the knife, and it is just screwed on to the top of the handle.

Paging Mr Rambo, your knife is ready.

Why yes, yes it does:

How much more hardcore can ya get than NO TANG and a screw on handle?!!??

That's worth almost as much as a real TGLB! :barf:

That's nuts or more accurately nut.
The only explanation its some kind of extended April's fool thing.
Even China gas station knives make more sense to me.

Most tulwars don't even have a screw. The blades have a stub tang and are held in the handles with resin. Yes, the blades are glued to the hilt. :D And that's on 30" blades meant to be used in battle.

I agree that the outline is a direct rip off of the busse. But to say its a direct copy insults the TGLB. Whatever that thing is, me no want. The sad thing is there is probably at least three twelve year old boys begging their mom or dad for that piece of crap.

Not quite the same thing... The Tulwar has a 2" - 3" tang that is heated and burned into the wood handle for a perfect fit, then glued with resin. Not no tang and one bolt. ;)

Ugh that knife looks horrible. Wonder why they switched from TG? I doubt it was because the original was stolen since I remember Jerry once stating the prop guys have several TG's on set. I would rather Daryl carry something like a Becket BK7 or 9 or even a Cold Steel Trailmaster or Recon Scout than what he has now.

Well I seriously don't know what's up with this thing... It obviously has 3 screws in the handle:

And from the side, it looks like it has a full tang:

BUT, it looks like you can see through the holes in the handle, and it definitely looks like the blade is just cut off under the handle scales shortly behind the front screw:

So, maybe on the tang it only has the outside edges and a little strip down the middle (from side to side) to hold the screws? Oh well, it's still a POS, and I'm kinda done wondering about it. I hope this boosts sales of the TG by a million percent! I hope people won't be fooled by this impostor.

These things look like they will mostly be sold at local Comic Cons, probably right next to the booth where you pay Norman Reedus $40 to take a picture with you (holding your new knife >_>)

Link isn't working for me right now.

Mildly disappointed? Talk about straight up stupid. Next they are going to be carrying gerbers....
First Season - Carl runs up to Rick on the highway scene and proudly exclaims, "Dad look what I found!" They unroll a large knife case filled with knives and "Gerber" stitched prominently in large red letters. Lol so they're already on the Gerber phase

Second season actually.

Was that second season? Hmmm yeah suppose it was cuz they were on the freeway right before losing Carol's daughter. That season was great

I actually enjoyed Season 2 , it's up there as one of my favorites. I've always love seeing Rural areas during an apocalypse.
