WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

It's always been a disadvantage laying siege to a fort. A very small force can hold back an army for a long time.

I was referencing the comic book. 3 more prison dwellers died in that fight in the comic.

Maybe they're shooting quick kill?

If I found a gun with no sight, I'd still take it and actually be a little useful with it

Yeah it can be done. I can hit well with a shotgun and slug with just a bead out to about 50 yds.

Yea the gun FUBARs are always funny as well as some of the other effects, but all in all a pretty good show. Finally the GOV is gone:thumbup::cool:, but Herschel kinda sucked. He was a lot of the glue for the group and there is not to many of the originals left now. S4-Part 2 is I hope going to be good. Been tired of the prison thing for a long time now.

In real battles, the "shoot/hit" ratio is quite low. I just did a quick online search, where it was stated that in the Vietnam War, some 80,000 rounds were fired for every Viet Cong "hit.". I have read similar stats for WW1, WW2, Gulf War, etc. There are usually a lot of rounds flying, and very little hitting!...Cheers.
What I want to know is how they can shoot that many bullets with such a low percentage of hits. Nobody aims. One good marksman could have ended the fight in less than a minute. Take out the tank driver, then the governor, and the rest will quit. I can suspend my disbelief for zombies, but bad shooting is more than I'm willing to accept.

Great episode! They never got to tell Tyrese about Carol, I really wanted to see his reaction. That isn't even something Rick or Daryl are thinking about anymore they probably wont be telling him for awhile now.

Just to be clear, does the empty, bloody car seat mean the baby died?

I believe they were alluding to that being the case, but the baby was not featured as one of the deaths on 'Talking Dead'. That being said, I'm betting she is still alive..... ;)

I really need to start watching the Talking Dead, it would be better for my nervs. :)

I hate that I read the comics and I anticipate what's going to happen on the tv show and something entirely different happens.....

I think the baby is alive also, I bet beth got her out of the car seat. they obviously can't show what happened to the baby like in the comics....

Yeah, that's kinda how I felt too. I figure they won't kill the baby off. Too brutal for most viewers. Just like the gov on the show was way more tame than the gov in the comics.

I don't know Beth and Darryl ran off with no baby. I don't really see how they are going to keep it alive on the run.

Yea I've read the same 75,000-80,000 for Nam. But WW2 was a completely different story. Here they report around 20,000. Yet I have never seen where these stats are separated by all of the machine gun fire using the same ammo. For example a 7.62 Mini puts out around 3000 rds a min. Are these included in that small arms ammo tally of Nam??? I don't know but the one thing I do know is in WW1 & WW2 we were trained on a one shot one kill mentality not the spray and pray that persisted in Nam.

I couldn't remember what happened to Beth... I thought she may have came across the baby and took her to the bus. the two little girls that had the baby obviously ditched her to get guns. I don't think the two sisters the governor was with got the baby, they never made it into the prison yard yet when rick and the prison group took off..

What are the writers gunna Do with a baby?

Are they gunna invest years in her to grow up and become her own character??

It seems the logical thing to do would be kill off the baby.

She has no story, there is no future for the character.

didn't the Gov kill Judith in the comics? The show would just let the empty car seat speak for itself. Easiest way to kill her off.

They're going to give the baby a spinoff series, Walking Dead...The Next Generation.

Technically. Lori & Judith with 1 bullet from somebody in the Woodbury clan in the big shootout/runaway. Hershel got shot in same gunfight. Tyreese got decapitated by the guvernater.
