WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

I had some turtle soup in New Orleans too. It was great until I ate a chunk that was extra gamey. I may try it again when I go back, but not at the same restaurant.

It IS, especially in New Orleans! I had some in the Twin Cities, but it was NOTHING like the soup in New Orleans; they really know how to prepare food there!!!;):thumbup:

Snapping turtle makes great hamburgers and sausage too, you might want to keep it in a clean tank for a week or so and clean the water daily. Makes the meat taste much better no nasty aftertastes.

Now possum is horrible nasty greasy stuff my Grandad would cook that when I was a kid. Bleh.

When we are lucky enough to find one we keep it in clean water for 3 or 4 days and feed it loaves of bread. I was told years ago that feedong them nothing but bread helps clean them up and takes some of the "gamey" away. Not sure if its true or not but they have always tasted good to me.

I think muskrat and woodchuck tie for the worst meat I have ever eaten. Now squirrel brains on the other hand are delicious. Wish they were bigger. Pig brain isnt bad but I am not gonna go out of my way to have them again.

I'm a bit surprised no one on the show was shown cooking up a big, juicy, rat. After all, it was a prison. I'm supposed to believe there were no rats anywhere inside?

Turtle soup is very tasty. I was at a restaurant the other day that made alligator soup the same way. It was very good also, just had a lot more bite.

Cooter's mighty tastey fried! But only after a week of cleaning out with fresh veggies & daily water changes. Possum ain't fit for human consumption! And growin' up, my mom could barbeque a mean coon! Ain't ever had one by anybody else that was fit to eat. I've heard groundhog CAN be edible, but every one I've put to lip was almost as tender as a Doc Marten boot.

On a totally different note, I just had to make a woman spit out excrement... Welcome to my world.:barf:

Yeah, I work intake for a state psyche hospital. You definitely don't want any pics related to my job...
I've been here 13+ years. This is by far not my first. You never forget your first...:barf:
It don't even bother me anymore. I immediately went out for takeout at firehouse afterwards. LOL

Ah the good old days of working intake, and the horrible things people do. I spent 7 years in the local sheriffs office. Some funny stories there. come to think of it I may have seen some zombies in there to.

Was that a Busse something-something hawk that guy used to chop the rabbit in half?
