WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

Either that or the first half of the season will be inside the rail car...."is it time to escape yet?"

Just read the interview with Scott Gimple on AMC. Don't have a good feeling about Beth's future...

Bob's alcoholism was so bad he was eating gelled alcohol fuel out of a can prior to drinking the cough syrup, wasn't he? Or was that supposed to be some other bright pink translucent paste in a can?

I think it was a can of a certain brand of either dog food or beans, judging by the color of the label on the can.

One way? What is it that you are thinking?

They get rescued by an untrusting Carol and Tyreese who decide to do a better job of sneaking in and looking around than Rick's group did. I'm thinking Tyreese sneaks in alone, while Carol stays with Judith.

I would assume that the first episode would be Carol and Tyreese busting them out. Then presumably, given Rick's penchant for neck biting, they would go back with the buried guns and do in the terminus creeps...but that's a big assumption on my part. Who knows? maybe a few of them might end up as good ole' fashioned, extra smokey, Georgia-style soylent green BBQ.

I'm thinking Tara is going to get BBQed. She's young and her flesh looks tender. I'm sure she'd be delicious. ;)

Okay, not from the current season. But still a funny parody that describes Rick rather well. Enjoy!

Just read the interview with Scott Gimple on AMC. Don't have a good feeling about Beth's future...

It also makes me worry about Daryl, because they mentioned the conversation he and rick had the morning after they killed Joe and the marauders. Rick says to Daryl that he considers him a brother. In the interview Kirkman said something along the lines of: 'A lot of the survivors have grown close and share strong bonds, and we've built up those bonds just so we can tear them apart...'

Damn, man. I hope that doesn't mean Daryl will buy the farm in season 5. I can handle losing Hershel, and even Beth (even after Daryl got close to her...i hated them losing each other). But Daryl?! I would be literally devastated if they killed him off.

Is our favorite character going to die? If Daryl does die then the producers will be royally shooting themselves in the foot, and I'm sad to say that it sounds like something the creators of the Walking Dead would be just about arrogant enough to do. If a character becomes popular and people start demanding that the shows creators keep him alive or make him behave a certain way, then pride of authorship in the shape of bullshit artistic integrity takes over, and they usually kill the character off. It's a petulant 'you cant tell me what to do with MY TV show!!' type reaction.

Listen Kirkman, Gimple and all the rest of you AMC boys: PLEASE keep Daryl alive and PLEASE get him to kill the terminus creeps with his TLGB!! I want it to end like this:

Gareth: No, please! Don't stab me in the face with your awesome Busse! I only ate one of Beth's legs! And I couldn't even finish it, it was contaminated with moonshine and It gave me indigestion!
Daryl: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Now you goan' taste ma INFI, boy!!
Gareth: NO, PLEASE...YAAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!! ABLABLAEERGUURRKKARRGHUGHALALALALGH!!!
Daryl: Looks like this butcher dun ended up chopped ap heeim saylf.
Beth: Eeew, Daryl! Why only the face and crotch?
Daryl: Beth, your alive!! Thank the lord. Now, does anyone know where Hershel's crutch is at?'.

They left the door open for Beth to come back alive. But yeah, those AMC boys are indeed arrogant enough to kill off either Daryl or Rick. Most of us no longer give a crap about Rick. But Daryl?.... Oh you know those guys are going to get death threats from the more rabid fans of the show, especially from the ladies.

Terminus isn't the type of place that actively goes out looking for "food." They just wait until the food walks in, looking for safety and security. Seriously doubt Beth is there.

+1 From what I'm hearing from fans of TWD Comic there is a preacher character that is good, and a real bad guy with a God complex that pops up in the comic, and one or the other may have "taken or helped" Beth. Everyone is basing it on the crosses in the Cadillac's rear window. However it could be a curveball, considering a Funeral Home in the rural south might have a similar Cadillac in the garage, the person using it might not even be religious.

The problem is the TV story line is different than the comics. There is no Terminus in the comics, and the cannibals are a roving gang called "The Hunters" . Daryl and Merle did not even exist in the comics. Tyresee is actually brutal and had a daughter, Carol is actually hot, a nympho and not a self sufficient stone cold killer, The Governor was Hispanic, and Lori died in the Governor's raid of the prison.

If they have to kill off Rick or Daryl, please kill off Rick. I would have said the opposite back in the beginning. And please don't take up half of the season with them sitting in the boxcar talking about how they would have done things differently. Please, please, please.

Yup, plenty of differences in the comic vs. the Show. Quite frankly, not enough though. But yeah, it makes more sense that the cannibals would be in a safe central place where they can process all that "food" instead of just constantly hunting for it. Why hunt when it happily comes to you?

I think Daryl takes place of Andrea in the comic. She was kinda the right hand man to Rick in the comics like Daryl is in the tv show.

I think the character Gabriel the preacher from the comics took Beth. Maybe they will run into carol and tyresse before they get to terminus. I'm gonna guess Gabriel was once a resident of terminus and he will warn them about terminus And maybe help Rick and the gang escape.

Yeah but Carl is like a SON to Rick, so....Daryl can stay and everyone (not me) can weep for the loss of one of the worst child actors out there.

EWwwwwww!!! That would be some NASTY dogfood! I mean, it was bright translucent pink, I thought... But anyway, I'll accept that. Hope you're right about the rescue.

They can go ahead and do whatever they want with the characters. Even kill off Daryl. I can use some more time in my Sunday evenings that will be saved when I can stop watching, or waiting, for "The Walking Dead." The Daryl character is the only one that keeps me coming back at this point. All the rest, I either get enraged at their stupidity, or bored with their insipidity.

Im thinking the first episode may be about Carol and Tyreese, since they were ahead of Ricks group. It may show how Glen and the others got caught from their pov..

Yeah but Carl is like a SON to Rick, so....Daryl can stay and everyone (not me) can weep for the loss of one of the worst child actors out there.

I second that. But they were also going on about how they loved his character development. I dunno, perhaps they have more in store for him.

Then again, that could be intentionally misleading. Perhaps they DO kill him, and Rick loses his son but gains a daughter...sorry, Shane's daughter.

I dunno guys, we can sit here and talk about this stuff all day, the only way we're REALLY gonna know is when season 5 starts in October!

In fairness, we still don't know if Judith is Shane's or Rick's since Lori slept with both of them around the same time.

I seriously doubt we'll see Darryl or Rick Die. The entire comic is situated around Rick, and Darryl's the fan favorite. I mean, there's t-shirts out there that say "Darryl dies, we riot". He's also the ONLY character to get his own direct tv commercial.

I saw that commercial. It was funny.

"Clean this up, now."

"Yes ma'am."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Show's producers might kill off Rick. Is there anyone left who cares about him and his constant see-saw emotional battles within himself?
