Walking Dead Season 5 (HEADS UP: Possible Episode Spoilers May Be Posted Within)

I don't understand why everyone seems to love Carol. She acts like a screwball and a loose canon throughout this entire show. Murdered two sick people at the prison and a mentally ill child. Now she wants to kill the only doctor/surgeon like this is a theme out of a Trisha Yearwood song or a scene from Fried Green Tomatoes. Am I way off base? Carol fans, what am I missing here?

I wouldn't say that I'm a big Carol fan but in her defence, what else are you 'posta do with a homicidal kid? It's not like they're flush with shrinks and loony bins. I don't think she's anything like a loose cannon. She's got her mind set on staying alive and keeping her friends safe.

How 'bout ol Eugene stepping it up today. Atta boy. Noah had a really bad one though.

Spider...Carol is an original survivor who is able to make the toughest decisions and take appropriate action. Plus she was smart enough to give Deanna a total B/S story when she was interviewed. She is smart enough to be the "gray man" and gather intelligence for Rick's group, as well as swipe some weapons for future use. She's a smart cookie!;):thumbup:

Observations... (and two movie references);)

Muzzle Discipline... was Pi$$ing me off!!!

Ammo Management = non-existent

Maybe I'm getting old and my range damaged ears could acting up, but some of the words tonight were hard to understand. I had to rewind it a couple times to get that Aiden said they "Paid" them (made sense after seeing the title of tonight's episode... Spend).

I think the storyline is leaning towards Alexandria as Santa Poco and Rick's Group is the Three Amigos brought in to protect the village from El Juapo (the Wolves).

Sucks that we lost Noah, but that intense scene and the conflict in the revolving door was a good concept for the show.

It was cool to see Abraham in BEAST mode. "Swing Away Merrill"

I agree about Carol. She is the one that played this whole place smart. From the second i saw her lay her rifle on the cart all demure like she didnt know what to do with it i knew she would hide her strength. She is the original survivor having lived though an abusive relationship she clicked into survival mode and has not let off. This whole episode showed the holes in this way of life in Alexandrea. I see Carol saying that they need to kill Jessie's husband Pete as a breath of reality. The reality they live in that is.

Still doesn't explain the lack of walkers. No guards? (Heck!, they don't seem to want any ).... They aren't even ready to defend themselves against a sudden attack. Doesn't make sense to remain this careless while waiting for the next group of "battle hardened survivors" to arrive.

Wall or no wall, doesn't make sense that such a "weak" group would survive. You still need to get food, gas, tools, all kinds of equipment; to ,not only survive, but keep the place going in such a pristine state.....

Perhaps like Gabriel, they had much of that stuff inside Alexandria when the Apocalypse hit.

Keep in mind, it's only been about 2 1/2 years since the very start of Season 1.

Also, Gabriel is a worthless, ungrateful, jerk.

Maggie should speak up the second Gabriel left. Put an end to that. Paint him as the crazy preacher. But I doubt that will happen. If they truly were watching Ricks group, they'd know who they were dealing with. I doubt there are too many ruthless murderous groups traveling with a teenager and a baby.

Maggie should have spoken with Diana immediately after Gabriel left. Told her how he locked the doors and let his whole congregation get slaughtered. Then, if Diana wasn't sure.... tell her to speak to anyone from the group about it while Maggie stayed behind and didn't say anything else. Diana would have realized Maggie was being honest about that story once she chose a member of Rick's group at random and asked about what Gabriel did. Little tough for a lie to get confirmed if no one gets together to "get their stories straight." Therefore, it has to be the truth. Maggie should have spoken up.

Here's something else too.... Tara was walking around with that Uzi, talking to Eugene; and the fricking bolt was closed!! It's an Uzi. Come on, Prop Master! Do your damn job!

(At least in that scene, Tara had her trigger finger outside the trigger guard.)

And really - just one round per zombie brain is all you need. Economy in ammunition, troops!...;-)

The Noah and Aiden kills were the best in a long time. Abe was great. Also during Talking Dead they dubbed Noahs death as "Everybody ate Chris"...excellent!

...how about Glenn.... Walking around that warehouse, sights up with his 1911, hammer not even cocked....
Small details that few notice. Still wouldn't take much to have someone around to correct that stuff...

Gabriel has to go fast. What an ungrateful piece of crap. Sorry to see Noah go but it is what it is. Aiden kill was awesome. Glenn is a better man than me. I would have left that other guy laying unconcious and let him get what he deserved. I wonder what his story is gonna be to Diana when they get back to town?
As far as the abusive doctor goes, I have a feeling that if Rick doesnt handle it soon Carol will take care of him.

^^^ yup.... Gabriel is insane..... Insanely guilt ridden.

As for the doctor, how about getting some proof to go with those suspicions. Is killing him necessary? If alcool is part of the problem.... How about a "get dry or get out policy".

Not all abusers are homicidically so. Him, no longer living with his wife and child, might be sufficient to prevent any further abuse. He is behaving while in public. Of course, she must want to be away from him. No alone time with his son too.

They are all living in a village, all kinds of people, homes, etc. No longer nomads. Ever heard the expression "it takes a village"? Everybody needs to be on board with this.

Something can be tried, before "offing" the doc.

Ya, I wouldn't go blasting the doc, thats just dumb. WTF is up with Gabriel? Does he want the group gone because they know too much about him? thats my only guess. what a POS. And yes, Abraham is one bad ass mo'fo'.

^^^^ Gabriel burnt his collar, rejecting his calling. He tore the pages out of a bible..... Perhaps he has joined "the dark side"...
