Walking Dead Season NINE (SPOILERS)

It's just stupid. Apex predators don't tangle with other apex predators just to prove who's on top. Or even prey tht can defend itself. and no one with half a brain picks a fight for no good reason with someome who stands a good chance of killing you. none of this makes any sense.
Tribes warring over land is nothing new.

It definitely does seem that they make it a point to put "diversity" as a top priority when pairing couples in the show.
That is everywhere on TV now. I am wondering if the anti gun people got to the producers to lessen gun violence in the show.

Could be. There have already been eight gay characters that I can think of, which seems a bit disproportionate, but in today's world of outrage and boycotts over butthurt, they are probably making sure to cover all of the bases.

......but I am still hoping they have a formidable arsenal and they are going to awaken the iron for the Whisperers.

Remember the comic is done by Brits, and seem to have a belief that there is a much larger proportion of homosexual people than is really the case.

There are, iirc, numerous gay characters in the comics.

I've read the comics right up where the whisperers showed up and I dont remember there being nearly as many, but I imagine with less people to pair up with, it may become more of a thing in a post apocalyptic world.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall there were numerous gay people.

Maybe it only seemed like a lot.l, due to so few people being left.

So...back to TWD......
I think Alpha has proven herself now. Wonder how the rest will fall in order? Will Negan still do his thing like in the comics, or will it be a twist on that part? It's gunna be a long Summer in my eyes...things have moved pretty fast up to this point....the final episode is probably gunna be a cliff hanger with us wondering if someone is dead til season 10 begins.

But the Whisperers are supposed to think humans are animals who pretended they weren't, and they're supposed to see themselves just as pack animals.
Ever see that documentary about the lions vs the hyena's on that African savanna? Pretty awesome, and kinda similar. They war back and forth for a while. They fight. They steal from each other. They kill each others young. Eventually the main lion gets tired of it all, gets up from under his shade tree and in a brief fit of rage, handles business once and for all.

With Michonne scheduled to be in only a couple episodes next season, the main character pickings are getting slim! Tara was actually one of the oldest hands still left. It seemed like Daryl and Carol were going to be focused on grooming Henry to be the next generation's leader, but now that purpose is gone. Nothing left for them but a war of vengeance I guess. "And war, war never changes."

Watched TWD from the beginning. Some past seasons have slagged a bit, but am currently watching with renewed enthusiasm. They do have a passel of interesting characters. And it’s the only episodic television program I watch. PS: I would have already started planning a covert hit team to deliver payback for the beheadings. With those stashed Long Guns (?) Alpha & Omega would soon be in the past tense.

Yeah. They were well armed at the end of the war with Negan. They got their ammo man back. They got whatever weapons weren't ruined by the sabotaged loads. I get the feeling that the Whisperers are going to get massacred in epic fasion real soon.

And man. Hindsight is 20/20, but for the price they paid, Lydia wasn’t worth it.

I did see that one. Ever see the one with the lions and the lions?

Me neither.

But I do see your point. I don't necessarily agree, but I see it.

I think a big part of it could be that Alpha doesn't even see the people of Hilltop, Alexandria or the Kingdom as apex predators. She sees them as weak creatures living inside protective shells (walls). More like turtles.

So, did anyone make out what was said in the fuzzy radio transmission at the very end? Was it Maggie? Jadis? Maybe Alicia or one of the other women from Morgan's crew on FTWD?

Why was there no snow on the ground when they showed the Whisperers' camp/ when Beta started whipping Alpha at the end of the episode?
