Wallet E&E Kit (photos and instructions)

I hate MSRPs and will rarely give them out because they're so bogus

Fair enough, and while I agree they are, I was just curious as to a general price range, less than 50, more than 50, but less than 100, etc.

I can wait though, it's not like I have money anyway...

Added to my birthday list of ideas for friends and family, march should be a pretty sharp birthday for me!

Good point. Especially when you are stressed. Simple information may be critical to your survival.

I agree, I learned land-nav a long time ago but stess makes you forget a lot of simple stuff. I plan on getting a few sets for me and my children (lessons are planned for the summer).

You have to be careful about putting stuff under the inner sole of your shoe. You might be able to do that with the titanium blade but the arrowhead would probably not only be uncomfortable but unsafe as well. The SOE and OSS in WW2 had contoured insole knives, believe it or not. Followed the natural curvature of the arch of the average human foot. They would have that knife in one custom leather insole and a row of gold coins in the other insole. There was a small lanyard and you would pull the center piece of leather out with the coins in them. Pretty slick.

The arrowhead can double as the SOE/OSS Lapel Knife. The leather sheath for them was a very simple affair.

Take a looky at this and you will see some goodies:

The pics are scans because way back when I started my website, I didn't have a camera but I had a flatbed scanner!

I have one of those Tekna cards, the same style as the picture. They changed the blade in the last models made. Blackjack knives made lapel knives in "plastic" a few years ago, picked up some of them also. Plus, It was a great article Don. Keep up the good work.

So i was thinking about making a short video showing some quick ways of concealing E&E gear that is included in this kit, but I wanted to ask for some feedback. Specifically, do you feel it would be irresponsible to make such a video? I'm not planning on showing how to use the stuff but more so explaining how gear sitting in a kit form does little for E&E unless you have it properly prepared and placed on your person (example, a kit would likely be removed from you if you were kidnapped while kevlar cord hidden properly would get past just about any search). Would anyone be interested in seeing this or would I be wasting my time?

By all means make it. We have plastic cards in the kit explaining how to conceal them items and that the items are useless if you don't

Just don't film yourself shoving a handcuff key up your potato shoot... please.

Awesome! The day the gear hits the dealers, I'll have one ordered. I didn't want to step on anyones toes and also was afraid people would be all spazzy about giving away information like that. I can start making some of the video now, but you might see yellow kevlar instead of the blue in the ESEE kit.

I absolutely promise I will not put that in the video. :D

Thank you. :)

Blackjack Knives in its prime, purchased EK Knives and H.G. Long and Co.

H.G. Long used to make some Sykes-Fairbairn special editions as well as wrist/sleeve daggers, lapel daggers and thumb daggers. That's where Blackjack got the idea to make the thumb dagger in plastic.

No, it's not irresponsible and it would be interesting if done well.

If you do change your mind about trying to insert it into your taterhole, here is an article that I wrote that might be of some help. :D
