GEC put up a preview of the #76 "Outlaw Jack". 3 5/8" Closed. Square bolsters. It looks similar to the Case XX 32 pattern jack knives and stock knives except the handle looks like it may be wider. This would also be a great pattern for a double end jack or a 3-blade stockman.

The Case 75 pattern is a serpentine frame... The GEC appears to be more of a "reverse gunstock" (?) ...sort of the reverse of the Case 32 pattern.

EDIT: hmmm... not sure if the 32 is a serpentine or a gunstock... I'm thinking serpentine now. Schatt and Morgan did have a few gunstock stock knives, if I recall correctly... So is this "Outlaw" a serpentine?? Someone else will have to figure this out... I got lost some how. :p

I like the setup shown - a classic jack with square bolsters, large clip and small pen. I do wonder if the Outlaw name will give rise to some large, gaudy blade etches. I could do without those for the most part.

I tend to think of a gunstock as having the back end flair out a bit more and be wider than the pivot end. Maybe I'm just remembering one example in particular though and limiting my interpretation based on that.

Jake, I think the older 32 pattern from Case was more of a gunstock.
The newer 032 pattern (think Texas Jack) is more rounded, more serpentine.

This picture from GEC's website looks more gunstock to me.

And the pen is in front of the clip blade, so both nicks on the mark side . . . WHOOPEEEE!!

Looking at the 32 pattern jack again, and it's a reverse gunstock, with the pivot at the wider end.

The new 76 GEC is a true gunstock, with the flair opposite the pivot.

Man, I'd love to see a GEC Gunstock, I love the pattern. I've got a Case small gunstock and a Schatt and Morgan medium (with spear and small clip), they get a lot of pocket time.

I like the it from what I can see in it's general sihoulette. Definitly a bit different than the #56 Dogleg that I'm so fond of. I think I'll like this one.

GEC can we please see this pattern with a main spear and a wharnie/coping second? Pretty please with sugar on top.....

I'd also like the pattern with either a Wharncliffe or sheepfoot secondary blade... and the "copperhead jig bone" also. :)

Anxiously awaiting this one.....has anyone heard what type of scales will be available with these??? I really liked the Micarta and Calico that were available on the #79.

Ill second that copperhead jig bone mmmm....since I doubt with the spear main they could keep both pulls on one side, make both of them long pulls please. Heck since I am dreaming make them match stick pulls :D
