WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: GEC Outlaw Jack #76

Ditto, Glenn. Coping in front of clip with both pulls on mark side would be choice.

Unfortunately they usually group like edge bellies together: pen with clip or spear, coping with sheepfoot or Wharncliffe.
Once in a while they get it right though.

So, what do you think?

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one. I'm not sure of the handle shape, especially that lower angle, but figure it would probably make sense in-hand?

Looking forward to a Stockman setup on this pattern. The new Autumn Jig Bone as a scale option would be very sweet.

Now that is one pretty knife. Looks like I was wrong about the saber grind doesn't it? Flat grind and probably a duplicate of the 66 main clip which is pretty good geometry.

The square bolstered jack is my favorite pattern and I waited for ages for Queen to make it in 1095 to no avail. This will probably get me off my billfold if the bone they choose is a pretty one. Might even do a Northfield if they put swedges on both sides.... I prefer a Lansky to hand sharpening anymore and the single side swedges make it a pain to cut the bevel correctly. :)

Square bolsters look great. That wood lends itself well to the gunstock look. I absolutly love that both nicks are on the same side. Now please PLEASE bring this out with a coping second to that clip blade.

It does look good, and I really appreciate both nicks on the mark side, but it would have looked and felt better in the hand if the blades were at the other end. It would have had a natural forefinger grip ahead of the bend.

Sort of like this, for example, but with a slightly more pronounced forward angle? ;)

That's what it reminds me of, anyway.

Those are some of the best in-process photos that I've seen! Love it!

The 32 pattern from Case is one of my favorites. ...I'm not sure how I feel about the handle shape reversed. GEC certainly isn't afraid to diverge from the old patterns which is neat but I'm still craving more knives that closely resemble the old ones. I'll wait to see more photos of the finished knives before I make up my mind.

I'd also like to see a straight edge secondary blade... though I'd prefer a sheepfoot rather than a coping blade (the sharp edge on a coping blade can bite you when you use the main blade).

Not normally my cup of tea but I'm warming to this one. It looks like the pen blade will tuck away cleanly too, any ideas on dimensions...?

GEC's website says 3.5 inches on these. I recall seeing a length of 3 5/8 in production photos. I know it's such a small difference, but it's a big difference in pocket, especially with a square-ish knife like this. I originally had not much interest, but if it is 3.5, that might hit the spot.

I think it looks amazing and wow check out those start to finish photos! That is awesome. They ought to ship that knife out with its own photo album :)

I have to say, this two bladed jack is really catching my eye. I agree with Jake on the secondary sheepsfoot/wharncliffe blade.
This acrylic looks awesome:

Now the question is...where's the 440C version?

If only the root beer was on a Northfield too...looks terrific! Now I'll be checking my favorite dealer every few hours or so :D

Two Northfields just released. The wood looks great and it being a gunstock pattern is pretty tempting. But this one right here is going to be mighty hard for me to pass on. I will wait to see the smooth yellow bone, I love the yellow rose on my 66.
