Wanted to say hi with my first order of XM 18 from plaza cutlery !

Congratulations on your purchase Sir. I have had several Hinderers, and have now settled on 2 that I simply would not let go of. Both are XM-18 Duratech 20CV, sterile blades. One's a Slicer, the other a Spanto. They are fantastic!! Truly the pinnacle in what a beefy, strong, overbuilt folder can be. I believe if you need more strength than the Hinderer offers, you need a fixed blade. :) Another benefit of the design is the modularity of the knives. If you get bored with the looks you simply order different scales, stand offs, scale screws, even a pivot pin and boom, you have a completely new look. I think that is a fabulous option.

I have had many CRK's as well. I just think they are a different class of knife. CRK's are great, fit and finish is top shelf. That said, there are things I would do with my Spanto that I wouldn't with a CRK. I look at the CRK as a "Gentleman's folder". My Hinderers are hard use tank busters. :) Just my opinion, certainly not knocking CRK in ANY way.

I hope you use and love your new Slicer. As you can tell, many of us do!

Vegas thank you for your warm welcoming. Bought another NIB xm 18 3.5 at a great price . Now that they are closer to CRK price, will definitely buy a few more

Felix, the 24 is an absolute beast of a knife. Total tank. Makes the 3.5" seem small. Seems huge when you first get it, but carry it for a week and seems perfect.

D.Prichard do you recommend to get the pre stamp on the blade or the newer model? Considering a few offers. It's good to have a choice :))

I have my first sterile coming in now. I personally love the Hinderer logo on the blade. Bought this sterile to get the Ti Textured scale on the knife. Not the first, and I'm sure not the last, time I will buy an entire knife just to get the scale on it. :)

Another truth about the 24 is that once you carry and use it for awhile you really notice it's missing if you're not carrying it...not because of size/weight but because it's a very reassuring tool...so when it's not around, you know it.
