Sebenza sellers beware!!! I recently had a transaction with dsjoo. This person immediately tried to get me to give him a substantial refund after telling me the knife did not match the birth certificate. I got the original dealer to contact CRK and confirm his claims were not accurate. The person then insisted I give him a full refund and pay for half the return shipping; he insisted I refund the money to him BEFORE he returned the knife! Now he is claiming I sold him a fake Sebenza and wants his money back. This is a bait and switch. This buyer had tried every way possible to get money back, or a refund while he still has the knife, or for me to refund his money, to only receive a fake in return. Be careful. Be careful. Be careful.

This is sad! The buyer keeps trying to turn the tables, but bottom line is he keeps describing a knife that I did not sell him! He describes an obvious fake/copy/clone Sebenza. He just wants to pressure me to accept the fake one back. To avoid the bait and switch, I asked him to send the knife to CRK for authentication and they could return it to me for a full refund. He would have nothing to do with this! I then offered to split the shipping costs, which makes it the same as returning it to me... Still, no interest. He only demands full refund. I have had hundreds and hundreds of knife deals on this forum and this is the first problem! At least I didn't get stuck with a fake Sebenza!

If this is true, I'd call it grounds for straight up banning. No second chance on this kind of thing.
A refund should be given once the item is returned and the seller can verify it is in the same condition in which it left. The the item is used (or modified by the buyer) they need to appeal to the seller for what will happen next.

Thanks for sharing. On the ignore list he goes.

Is paypal involved? Is he aware of this thread?

Scammer banned by Moderators.

I'd suggest adding his name and location to the post so when he does come back under a new username people will know not to deal with him. (also couldn't hurt to add his name to the thread title)

I'm so glad you did not fall for his BS. they do it because often folks just are not paying attention, and then the burn occurs because of their lack of paying attention to the details . they only continue because they have been successful in the past, much like the infomercials on T.V.= Kevin Trudeau, at least he is going to do time for it.

His email is: dsjoo@iastate.edu or juliejng25@gmail.com
His mailing address is: Daniel Joo, 6040 Kennedy Blvd East 31K West New York NJ 07093

I emailed offering refund upon receipt of the knife I send in the condition I send it in, he will not respond! TOTAL SCAMMER!

This is my email 09/30/15:

Daniel,

If you return the knife to me, and it is the same knife I sent you and in the same condition, I will send you a full refund! Look at my perfect feedback on bladeforums! I am an Eagle Scout. I am an honest person. You return the same item I shipped you and I will return your full purchase price!

I sure hope PP won't take his side since in those emails he admits he got a knife, yet he told them he didn't get one at all.

It may take a little while for a decision, but please let us know how it turns out.
Good luck.

WOW...This happened right here. When I first started reading I assumed this was a Ebay con but here on Bladeforums is just plain stupid. Especially in the Sebenza market . Most of those guys really love their blades and know a lot about them so to even consider sending a fake knife back is ballsy . You will win . His fatal flaw has been made and also Paypal is not stupid . When you try the item not received con more than once or twice they really start to eyeball you . Stand your ground...I hate thieves .

What a scam! I keep emailing, requesting for him to return the knife and if it is the same knife in the same condition I sold it to him, I will return his money. NO RESPONSE! This just proves, he want the money AND the knife!
