Warning - Buyer who wants to return a fake Sebenza (bait and switch)

UPDATE... I got an message from PayPal that they had requested more info from the buyer, the said they would get back with me in 3 days (this is much shorter than the original estimated 30 days!). I looked over everything I had send and had forgot to send a proof of delivery from USPS, so I did so. FINGERS CROSSED!!!! Thank everyone on this forum for your support!!! He's gonna be in a hard spot when he claimed the box arrived empty, but there are plenty of emails and bladeforums threads where the buyer is discussing the knife he DID receive. This guy is a complete piece of work!

I hope things are going to turn out alright; what a ridiculous hassle. I almost got sucked into this scam right before you did by 'dsjoo' -- also a Seb25 -- but a buyer I've dealt with before turned up, ready to pay, before scammer-boy could respond to my email. If he hadn't, I would have been in the same boat. It sucks that this happened, but at least it's ending up with this PoS being banned, and you keeping your money (I'm assuming).

This is yet another reason to hate counterfeits -- creating paranoia and uncertainty. And now a few people who DO get scammed, instead of accepting the loss as a lesson, try to sell the counterfeit as real themselves... or pull this little scam dsjoo tried to pull: I'm guessing by keeping the real one, claiming they were given a fake, sending back the fake instead of the original, and pocketing the refund as well.

Sociopaths do not like being discovered. Their classic response is to attack your character and threaten or retaliate with violence. If you live long enough and pay attention like Willic did, you will encounter a sociopath like Daniel. Watch your six Willic, do not under estimate such a person. He knows your address probably, hopefully far enough away. Great job spotting the dark side of humanity and shedding light on it. You revealed its ugliest, thank you.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!

PayPal just notified me the case was determined in my favor. The scammer is not nearly as good a scammer as he thinks he is! Maybe he'll stay under his rock and leave all us to do business with honest, hard working blade nuts!

That is great to hear !
And thanks for keeping us updated.

Glad to hear you were awarded the win, sometimes it doesnt go all that well even with overwhelming evidence.

I awoke this morning to see this and then remembered seeing the buyer's ID show up in another thread.

So glad that the good guy didn't get screwed in this.

You know, if the scammer put as much effort in to a real job as he does trying to take advantage of people, he could buy all the CRK's he wants.

I know many people say that Paypal "only sides with the buyer", but this is simply not the case. If you document everything and have all of your ducks in a row, they do help sellers from getting scammed.

Good for you Will, it's good to see everything turned out in your favor!

Great news! Glad to hear everything worked the way it should!
