YOU ALL must understand--I have contacted the Inspector assigned my case for this Derek.. They have stated too me.." If his Grandfather is harboring and willing knows of the actions of Derek Haymore. The OLD MAN will be charged and do jail time as well" I HAVE NO Sympathy for the old fart if he is in on this CRAP..Denial is a wonderful PLACE to live.. BUT not seeing and choosing to look the other way--HE IS JUST AS GUILTY--Old or NOT..

I have also contacted the States Attorneys office of NC and the Attorney I spoke with.. TOLD Me the owner --The Grandfather will be held LIABLE due to the fact he is allowing willing or not knowing to accept packages that are STOLEN by his grandson. OH and by the way ..A FRIEND in LEO informed me Mr Derek Haymore has 16 Mail FRAUD charges pending.. ASS...I hope he becomes a jail resident for a while..

BITTER YES I am..This asshole took me (BY MY OWN TRUSTING WAYS) for over $600..YES I hope all INVOLVED GET THERES...Old or Young...

Yea man. I have very little sympathy for situations such as this. Unless the grandfather is senile or not in control of himself in some way, I don't think he should be given a pass in a situation such as this. I mean, would it be different if this scumbag was cooking meth in the guys back-yard? I am guessing the answer is no.

It's tough being a "mark" but most people would rather be trusting than be really hardcore and not trusting in anyone. I think that right or wrong, let the LEOs do their job, the kind of hatred and filth that this experience has driven you to spewing out isn't worth close to $600. Just my $.02 :)

Crime is crime, no matter if old, young, sick, minority, all of the above or anything else.

You guys are in the right... No need to wish you luck.
For that we all know that justitia will judge in the favor of the right.

he has lots of magazine subscriptions coming, an order of topsoil, a few new Credit cards to activate and has joined a whole bunch of survey clubs...

at least that's the rumors I heard, I don't have first hand knowledge
 
I put this in the Bellasdaddy thread and I feel it should go here as well.

There's several ways of dealing with this Stupid Kid, get all the evidence that you have proving your case and sue him for damages including lawyers fees or think of yourself (in terms of energy and time plus the affect on your health) and let it go. I'm sorry that we have to deal with people who think they're smarter than everybody else but in the end it all comes back. You may have lost some of your things or $ but Do Not Lose Yourself, don't let people like this guy take away who you are. If you feel that strongly about getting justice it's going to cost, hire a lawyer in his home town and get advise on what came be done and teach both him and his family what those (stealing) types of actions will bring them.
 
It is difficult to file suit against someone when you live thousands of miles away. Also, hiring a lawyer is a great idea but Lawyers tend to cost far more than the knife/knives/goods are worth.

One can feel strongly about Justice but not be in a position in which to obtain it...........................

You know, I was thinking about this overnight and thought that it'd be possible to have forum members kick in for a "legal fund" whose goal is to deal with this kind of activity. The idea would be to build up a cushion and then hire a lawyer in the appropriate jurisdiction to deal with cases like this one. Not sure of all of the specifics but thought it was an interesting idea.
 
I would definitely kick in to a forum members "legal fund", scamsters need to understand that we will drag them through the legal system.

Totally agreed though what gives me pause is the logistics/nuances of such a venture. Scarcity kicks in no matter how well funded this becomes.
 
You are welcome to set up and administer the fund yourself. Bladeforums will not, and we don't want to see it run on Bladeforums. Once we get involved, people will start demanding we do it for them, too.

I can see your point. Its not unreasonable to think you'd not want to be responsible for this kind of venture. This, among others, is one of the major roadblocks to such a venture.
 
NOPE--But my INFORMATION GURU...Told me he got arrested on a Traffic Violation.. Havent been updated since. Just accepting my error in judgment in TRUSTING This NEWBIE and being upset with myself for allowing myself to be TAKEN.. I truly believe in KARMA..I got sober 6 years ago.. NEVER had a better life NOW.. With getting sober. I was blessed to donate a kidney to my wife 5 years ago..ALL the things I did when I abused alcohol and abused myself ..came back around and got its revenge in many respects..KARMA...But getting my life on track and doing GOOD things for others (volunteering-Taking folks to Rehab-81 people to Rehab and counting to date) makes me feel good about ME.Giving to others and expecting DNOTHING IN RETURN..Is how I rol today... This guy doesnt KNOW any better-Its how he was raised or how he was taught.RIP people off..Its how he lives his life...WHAT I DO know.. He will get his. IN time. we wont be around to see it.. BUT what comes around..Goes around...
