Hey Jamie!
Will you please post a pic of the other side of your polished stag??
If you can . . . . .

Certainly, a little more figure left on this side

I'm not going to lie to you. I like this. I like this quite a bit. Dang. I wasn't planning on spending that kind of money on another knife so soon, but I may have to change that a bit.

Same here Cory. I just don't know if I can swing it so soon after the forum knife and the other side of my knife addiction. It's getting harder to support my habits:D

Very handsome knife! The bolsters really draw the eye. But which material to choose????

Here's a Weidmannsheil of mine (trick lock actually) that has smooth/burnished stag. I think it suits the knife well.

What a great idea for this great old pattern. I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out. With all of the examples of polished stag, here is a Schrade 61OT that Kaleb Reynolds (muskratman) did a few years ago. This is smooth American Elk.

This GEC made Cripple Creek #73 had a large hump in the stag on the pile side. I sanded this one down a few weeks ago. You can see the middle part is white where it was sanded down but the original burnt stag is still visible at the sides.

Just for clarification, these will all be 2-blade knives!

Thanks to the people who are showing their smooth Stags!

Let's see more if you gots 'em!!

Charlie, GEC has even done it before. Smooth 2nd cut stag on a #53 Cuban stockman from 2008.

Call me crazy but this & Charlie's 3rd cut stag on previous runs appeal to me more than premium first cut stag. :) That Cuban is gorgeous!

Looks like Autumn Gold to me! I like it on smooth bone!

Sue has finalized the etch. I have driven her only slightly crazy on this one - tweak, tweak!
