I haven't seen one with so much color in it! Looks great, Perry!!

Well thank you Charlie, you have truly outdone the magic of the past this time my friend! I parked the old Schrade beside it and did a bit of your CF and CE on it, I really like the fact that you moved the pen blade and nick to the pile side of the knife. Some people don't care for this but I think it's a great update to a classic. While on the old Schrade, it's not hard to get to the pen blade nick, it just seemed a bit crowed to me and I love the change. Also love the use of the brass liners, very true to its grandpa! Thank you Jamie, I love "Old Smokey"!

Just to ramble on a little regarding the pen blade, simply one of the finest I have seen on recent production. A rather large pen to begin with but very thinly ground with some very nice distal taper being displayed. Nicely done and worth mentioning.

Great point Jamie! Longer and thinner, very handy addition to this knife. Also I love the fact that pins were not sunk down into the handle, as we all have seen on many of the knives from GEC in the past. I'm not a fan of that and hopefully it's been remedied.

My forum 77 has sunk pins all around. Only one isn't sunk. These Washington jacks are stunning. Wish I had ordered one.

While not too noticeable on the regular stag handles like on the BF 2014 knife and mostly the way it goes, with a more smooth or flat finished handle material, it a distraction, to me at least.

I'm not sure if this has been answered, but will there ever be a single-blade version of the Washington Jack, as well?

While I'm on the subject, thought I would show my own side by side of the Washington and his Grandpa, the Schrade in celluloid scales.

While a bit larger than it's Grandpa, perfect size and a great update on an old standby!

Beautiful Schrade in celluloid scales Perry. Great looking #77 Washington Jack also. I am waiting for my last one to arrive for a family shot.

Nice comparison shot, new to old. It really shows off the beauty of the new blade layout with pen behind the main, much cleaner looking IMO and makes the pen even more convenient to use for us lefties.

Lol, how did you guess Jamie? I too am a lefty, and I completely agree with everything you said!
I'm looking forward to that family shot, chisumr! And thanks for the nice comments.

Nice pics with the Schrade. Wow, the color on yours is rich and looks like you've already carried it for a while. Congrats.

I actually like the blade positioning of the Schrade with the pulls on samr side better, but i admit it does look cleaner the way the Washington Jack is configured.

Heyyyyy, thank you Al! Now if I can just find an Autumn Bone that someone doesn't like anymore, my dance card will be filled,,,,for now.;)
