Washington Street!!

I was fortunate enough to procure one of these beauties from a generous benefactor in return for future considerations. I've only taken it out of the tube to take picures, as I haven't "earned" it yet.

Here it is pictured with a Schrade 2OT that I got from Brad, they go together well. (I couldn't let Perry have all the fun)

You're sure a sick individual Glenn,,,and I love ya for it!! Next to that 2OT, that's what I'm talkin bout right there! Man you got the most beautiful Autumn Bone I've seen yet!

These are such amazing knives, as perfect as it gets. Thanks Charlie for this wonderful pattern.
We really need a stretched English Jack to match.:D

Best regards

Robin

Tanks Gev.they are pretty and I have enough bark for a few handles.

Have a great weekend folks.

Best regards

Robin

While I'm on the subject, thought I would show my own side by side of the Washington and his Grandpa, the Schrade in celluloid scales.

I'm loving these pictures with estimable forbears.

Thanks, guys! Boy howdy, do you each have stellar examples of this pattern.

Perry, I confess: every time I see a picture of one of your celluloid beauties, I flinch and wonder if I should move my knives further away from my computer. That material, if as yet unmatched in translucence and vibrance, makes me decidedly nar-vous! And yet, there you have yours, parked right next to your new #77. Hmmmmm.

My Washington Jack in isolation, and then in the company of other #77s, including one that glows:

My only regret? That I cannot show off my Washington Jack to others new to pocket knives (because: I do), and say, "And you can have one, too."

Here's to more. :)

As gorgeous as all these photos are, I think this is one knife that looks better in hand than the photos even represent. It's funny how some knives seem to look better in photos, but the Washington is even more stunning in person. Really enjoying mine! Thanks again Charlie & GEC for making this knife a reality!

Beautiful lineup, Sarah! All I do with mine, and I think it's the simple but easiest way to enjoy all my knives, is to leave my cells out in the open. I have these old type trays that hang on my wall, I keep most of them in that. This way they're easy enough to grab and shoot whenever I want. Also easier to keep my eyes on them, to make sure there are no prolonged surprises, since I look at them everyday. Dusting a nightmare you say? Not really, a little compressed air does the trick most of the time. You're right there, sugarleaf. No way to get the full appreciation of this pattern except in person. Sarah, no knife will be effected in 3 seconds or so, to take a picture.:D

I will also say this about celluloid, and this is just my personal experience. Low acidity in my skin overall and controlled humidity in my basement may help with the issue of out gassing celluloid. My knives that carry these dangerous handles seem to be pretty stable after owning most over several years, with no signs of zombie activity. There's always a chance of change but I'm pretty confident, for now anyway.

I agree and to me even more so with the polished stag. I really didn't want one with those covers initially, but it really is a beautiful choice with lots of character.

Man, if I knew it was going to look that good I would never have let you have it! :D

I really haven't done anything to it, LOL. It must just look better sitting next to the 77.

I just got my 3rd Washington Jack. This one in Autumn bone and I love it. Will post a group shot tonight. Thanks Charlie for a grandslam of a knife!:D
