I don't know if he's a member here but I just got burned by this guy on another forum. His username there was "xlite" and his personal info is:

Kiem Truong
179 Ferry St
Boston, MA 02149-5613

Steer clear of this guy and Mods if he's a member here I suggest banning him.
 
I know this is feedback, but most of our guys don't read feedback and this guy likes to deal in balis. I got ripped off by a fraudster named "xlite" on another bali forum. Steer clear of this guy if he's selling something. He may have a different user name but his personal info is

Was just researching the same thing. Doesnt sound right. Arokiem may not have been that nice or smart, but I wouldnt have called him a thief. :confused: there is a slight difference i think... :rolleyes: let's here some details George, we might be able to help track him down.
 
While there's probably a lot of Vietnamese guys named Kiem Truong running around Boston selling/dealing in balisongs on the internet, I'd say there is a PRETTY good possibility this is the same guy.
 
Sounds like there is a high probability that its the same guy...

Especially since under his name it says BANNED BY MODERATORS.

it is the same guy. maybe another "deal gone sour". let's here more George.?.

do a search on "arokiem" he was a contributing member and IMHO an asset to our forum for quite some time before the trouble.

And a big "trouble" it was.... Apparently he's conscious enough of his old moniker's reputation to not have re-used it.
 
What did he do? He certainly was a member here. I did business with him about 2 or 3 years ago. Let us know.....R

Why? What happened? You really need to give details before impugning on someone's reputation!
 
the way he is acting when asked to correct the deal or explain him self was like he is some attention seeking 12 year old who needs a real hard bitch slap to come to his senses
 
While I agree whole heartedly that just posting that someone is bad without any other details is, well, bad, I did follow this whole transaction over on balisongforums.

This xlite character is someone to avoid.

gfhoward, as others are suggesting please post some details for all to see here.
 
just spoke briefly w/Kiem via email. He was about as informative of the "deal gone sour" as George has been. If George has no more to contribute, I for one motion this thread to the GB&U where it friggin belongs. Oh, and moderators, while your over there how about bringing our rehandle thread back Chuck hijacked. :rolleyes:

I had a similar dealing with the same person,my purchase of kydex sheath's arrived 4 month's late,one dameged to the point that it is not safe to use.he also decided not to include the tek-lok i payed extra for.he is not a good guy to deal with,i think its been proven several times now!
 
Arokeim is banned here on bf.c.

We don't ban people on bf.c for offenses committed on other forum sites. However if he has re-registered at bf.c under a new name without permission from the moderator staff, then he will be re-banned, but not because of what he may or may not have done on some other forum but because he is banned here.

The exchange forums here at bf.c are pretty good. I'm not saying that problems don't happen. But because you have to pay to play and because there's no refund of your membership feee if you get yourself banned, people do have some reason to behave.
 
OK sorry about no details. One of our Mods here just let me know that this guy is well-known and has been banned from our forum in the past for scamming. He's still hangs in knife circles however and could be around here under a different alias. Basically he sold me a knife in way worse condition than he claimed then refused to take it back even after I posted pics of the knife and I quote of his description and everyone else agreed it was a scam. Other folks then piped up that had also been scammed by this guy over there so its clear he's consistent about his ripping folks off. This all went down publicly in a thread and the guy thinks he can continue to hang around and post like a regular Joe.

It's a great forum over there. Not much traffic but nice people for the most part. One frustrating issue with that forum is that the Admin is anonymous, can't be contacted (or so I hear), and won't empower any of the Mods to regulate and ban troublemakers. That forum won't last long if trolls can't be dealt with.
