Those are some familiar watches Chris - the internet is a small world.

PAMs are nice and unique time pieces. Had a Fiddy and 190 but sold them after the crisis. Enjoy this thread.

^^^ That Panerai is nice, I'd never heard of them before - then again I'm not super big into watches (well not yet anyway, this thread might change that). This one appeals to me in its clean, simple face and the rustic almost military look to the band..

Here is my meager contribution to Hinderers and watches:

The Breitling has been around the block a time or two, as much as I said I wouldn't wear it as an "every day" watch it eventually ended up as my go-to. I guess it's similar to an XM in that, as nice as it is, it's meant to be worn and used! It could use a good cleaning, as could the XMs as these semi-close up shots reveal :o

I really like this thread. I really like quality gear. Unfortunately I sold my Planet Ocean to help contribute to my wedding fund a couple years ago. I did it with the agreement from my wife that we will replace it when the time is right:). At this point my only watches are a G-Shock Riseman and Hamilton Pilot. I will have to get a pick with my XM at some point.

Man, some nice watches out there! I know very little about watches, and haven't worn one in over 10 years. Here's some that I own.

Me luck very nice collection, the younger generation claim that there is no need for the archaic method of time measurement, apparently their new pocket computers replace the need to own such devices. How could you not want to own and wear such beauties!

At BLADE 2012 I went to the Hinderer table to get a lotto ticket. Rick was manning the table and gave me a ticket. It was the first time I met him and noticed he was wearing a Sinn UX (if I'm not mistaken), which I had never seen out in the wild. I asked him if I could see it, for which he kindly took it off and let me check it out. Surely he thought I was crazy, but then again, if he owns a Sinn then he is likely a watch nut like me and understands the sickness :-)

I don't have a pic with my XM, but here is the SubC in his natural habitat!

The UX is a really cool watch, but unfortunately for me far too large for my small wrist. The EZM1, on the other hand, is a perfect fit

My problem is that I get a wrist rash everyone I wear something.

I kinda have up. Know of any quality Ti timepieces?

New or used? Sinn produces a number of nice watches in Ti, though their most desirable model is now about 10 years old (the EZM1). IWC produced two lovely Ti dive watches (the Ref 353601 and 3538) in the past. The two current Ti watches that are most interesting to me are the Tudor Pelagos and the Omega Planet Ocean Liquid Metal Limited Edition. It all depends on what you're looking to spend.

I never followed Rolex too closely because I found it a turnoff that when you asked most anybody to name a quality timepiece they parroted the brand name without ever experiencing one first-hand (aside from in stores or that owned by another).

But they didn't get that name recognition by luck alone so the white dial Daytona sits near the upper portion of my want list.

I'm still watching the Omegas...hoping something that speaks to me hits the market in 2014 as it's about time for a new timepiece.

IMO it all depends what you want out of a high-end watch. I've owned several of each and by far the most accurate, dependable, trouble free. bullet proof has been the - Omega.
The Rolexes are sold off, the Breitlings sit (dormant) in the safe, had Tags and Victorinox early on and even owned a Zenith (briefly, sold that )and I wear my Planet Ocean everyday and it is dead-on and requires nothing from me in anyway, I even wear it splitting wood.
Shows about "Hinderer level" wear and tear, I wouldn't say nothing but very little in the form of battle scars and that is several years now.
