Ways to get ripped off on Ebay

I stopped selling on eBay when they forced sellers to accept PayPal. I won't take the gamble of getting burned on a return because PP always sides with the buyer. I won't accept PP when selling anything on any site. I realize that means a lot of buyers won't consider buying from me but I'm OK with that. I don't sell knives to make a living so I don't really care if it takes months for a knife to sell, if ever.

I stopped using PP when it agreed with a seller that the "length" of a khukuri is determined by measuring it's circumference (length x 2 + width x 2). Things may have changed thereafter, but I never looked back. I know a seller who got screwed on the "empty box" scam when he had a video of sealing the box on the USPS counter, the clerk stating the weight before taking the box and initialing the sealed box with postage sticker and address visible, and proof that the box arrived. PP is as rotten as eBay. I believe they would sell fentanyl if they could get away with it.

Now on GBU:
"I ordered a Benchmade Infidel black for $338.95 the took 3 weeks to send me a Benchmade 940 Obsborne green (wrong knife). I emailed them you sent me the wrong knife, Nancy Zao responded offing me to buy the wrong knife they sent me, I said sorry I just want to knife I ordered. Then she wanted me to send the wrong knife to some guy in Texas with me paying the shipping I told her send me a label and I'll send it. She refuses to send be a label after 20 emails back and forth I go through Palpay as a dispute they take 2 months and dismiss the dispute because I wont pay for shipping to send the knife to England now? Long story short my bank did a charge back for $198.95 and Paypal won't refund my $140 balance and I have a Osborne 940 that I didn't order. Don't ever order anything from Knifesilo they are a scam and never pay with paypal they are useless."

So maybe little has changed at PP.

From ePrey vendor Military 1st.

"Mil-Tec ECWCS Jacket with Fleece

Colour: Olive

The Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) is a protective clothing system developed in the 1980s by the United States Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center.

This quality and sturdy ECWCS jacket is the perfect choice for all weather conditions. It features special 3-layer fabric system that is waterproof, windproof and breathable at the same time. Moreover it goes with warm removable fleece liner."

Mil-Tec is made in China of mystery materials and is not "ECWCS," which must be made in U.S.A. from strictly specified components. Everything Military 1st sells that I have seen so far is from China.

I bought two rare GEC knives in 2018 on Evil-bay. I have bought many nice Boker , CASE XX , Queen , and Schatt & Morgan knives on Evil-bay. (2018-2019) Now Evil-bay charges state taxes and I went cold turkey on Evil-bay. I like to put GEC knives on the "Watch" list. I love to see what the fools will pay. I try to buy my knives from small dealers that care about my knife wants/needs.
