WE Knives? Another high end Chinese company?

In case someone might be interested: a scoop of 5 new WE Knife models: 611, 612, 613, 614, 615. One designed by USA knife designer Simon Crafts. And two with an upgraded steel. Awesome...just an unboxing...

Thanks for the video, Henk! I love that Simon Crafts Cirrus. That looks like a "must have" knife. I think you have a typo in your post above, these are all "600" series knives, right?

I think you are right with the Cirrus. Very carryable and general purpose design.
Any glad you noticed: a type indeed. Corrected :-)

Ive seen a couple of WE knivees, which look very nice. If they handle half as nice, as they look, I can understand, why people are tempted.

Kizer was also mentioned. A while ago, I noticed the Nomad - thats a good looking knife right there. I like a Persian inspired knife and was looking at a small(-ish) custom with about the same blade geometry from a well known small brand/knifemaker.

The Kizer is half the price and if its as good as it looks, I can understand the temptation of the Kizer Nomad as well.

The 601 is in the hands of several reviewers, including EpicSnuggleBunny (his video review of the 601 went up on YouTube last night) and Jim Skelton. Both speak as highly of the knife as I do.
OKAY, that clinches it - if that incorruptible paragon of objective knife reviews speaks highly of the knife, Ill make sure to hurry up and buy it.

I have owned several Kizer models. And still have some. Among them the Nomad because of that tempting persian style. But they are not a good as the We knives. I have all models from WE, including the little fixed blade. And they really are among the top of high end production knife companies.

I wish they would put out more 605s. I purchased the green/black 605I and unfortunately sold it. It was such a phenomenal, compact flipper. I also loved the look of it. Sadly, I haven't been able to find another in that color combo.

Sooooooo SEXY!!!! With amazing, just amazing lock up, flipping action, smoothness, materials and just plain fun!!!

Congrats Joe. We happen to have same taste for knives.

So that means we are both broke Henk!!!!!
Kidding aside my friend.......the WE line up is very hard to beat!! The ones I have really are amazing knives!! My 603 is simple incredible and I cannot find a single flaw! It is one of my favorite knives.....and I have some beauties!!
The 606 flips as good as my ZT 450!! The grind on the blade is just amazing!! The CF inserts are perfectly flush! And again.....can't find a single flaw!!
Both of mine came stupid wicked ludicrously SHAAAARP!!!
I couldn't be happier and see more coming in the future.......especially if I don't unsub from your completely enabling channel!!! You're like a drug dealer and you should be ashamed!!
😬😬😬

You're welcome. LOL!

(I've ordered from KnifeOutlet a few times. They are here in the US and legit. You might wait 2-3 days longer than your bigger name retailers to receive your order, but hey.)

I took a quick look, the 611J? seemed to appeal to me the most. I could do without some of the skeletonization or textured milling on the other models though.

Was somebody doing this?

Shipping commodities is cheaper than you think.

I'm not defending any Chinese knife maker with the following comment, but casting aspersions like this irks me.
Quick, someone tell Wal-Mart their business model is unprofitable, importing most of their stock from China and the tiny margins in retail you know...

Some videos on new models.

The Simon Crafts designed Cirrus (615):

Hope it helps.

Oh boy, that 612 is calling my name! I really hope it will be regularly availabe.

The 613 is cool as well, kind of like an even more badass version of the 601.
Henkh, how does the pocket clip function on the 613? It looks like it drops right into the hole in the handle. Could be hard to attach to the pocket. What are your experiences?

@Skywalker1: Right now i have not carried the 613 yet. And i can not answer your question for a while because i have sent it out for a passaround among some interested reviewers in Germany and Austria. Sorry for that. I wish i had seen your question earlier. But what i can tell, the clip floats right above the hole...so it is not bend into the hole.

@palonej: sorry man...i really am sorry i brought you in financial crisis....Of course i hope you are able to find a decent bridge to sleep under :-)

And for those who are not broke yet and have a couple of $$ to spend, here is my video on the 614. I would call this one The Flagship of WE this far.
