We want Calypso Juniors!!!!

My calypso jr went missing for almost year. To my great joy, I just found it at the bottom of my rope bag, and was overjoyed. What a perfect design! If there's a sign-up list somewhere, sign me up. Otherwise, I'll be prowling online dealers.

Now I've been wondering... not that I wouldn't be perfectly satisfied with my VG-10 Calypso jr. PE. But I think that some texturing (not big like the Native's but rather fine like the Vesuvius's or even the Jester's) on the spine where the thumb rests would be an improvement.

If they make it to market by November, I'll be giving a couple out to friends and family as Christmas gifts. Glad to hear they are coming back if only in a limited run. I love my old plain edge micarta version.

I'm with Dialex, as well as the Delica and Endura also, it would make a big improvment with a saber grip, imho

Nov is all most over.It would be nice to be able to give a couple as christmas gifts.

In the CF Calypso Jr thread Sal says:

"VG-10, plain edge, gray, FRN Calypso jr out next month. Just a limited run (unless there is a great demand).

CF is not likely in the near future, nor is G-10. The Calypso jr is one of those designs that is a bit "mature" in design for most newer knife aficianados. The market is small. If the gray version meets with success, We'll take a closer look at the design.

Exotic materials cost more in general and most of our exotic material is custom made for us (eg; more layers of glass inour G-10 to compensate for the nested liners), so it is even more expensive. These costs create an expensive piece for a small market. Tough to do without a loss.

The "Kopa" is along the same design concept as the Calypso jr, but smaller That's all I can say at this time.

Marketing 301: "Let's watch the test market reaction to the FRN, VG-10 version", which is a lot of mature design, sophisticated strong material and quality for the buck.
