Weights and Fitness Challenge: February

Back to it! On 2/17, I did an incline-bench-based workout.

Light - 550 = 5.5
Medium - 179 = 3.58
Heavy - 26 = 1.04
Very heavy - 5 = 0.33

2-17 BSPs: 10.45

Current total BSPs: 36.66

I'm a little late to the party, but am curious to see how I stack up.
Mostly I do a 1 minute plank, bunch of crunches and a few push-ups nearly every morning.

2/1: 190 light = 1.9
2/2: 330 light = 3.3
2/3: 190 light = 1.9
2/4: 330 light = 3.3
2/5: 190 light = 1.9
2/6: 330 light = 3.3
(I'm noticing a pattern here)
2/7: 190 light = 1.9
2/8: 190 light = 1.9
2/9: 330 light = 3.3
2/10: 190 light = 1.9
2/11: 330 light = 3.3
2/12: 190 light = 1.9
2/13: 330 light = 3.3
2/14: PASS
2/15: 330 light = 3.3
2/16: 190 light = 1.9
2/17: 330 light = 3.3
2/18: 190 light = 1.9
Brings me to 43.5 BSP for the month.
Better than I expected.
I'm afraid I need to mix it up a bit, but whenever I've tried to go to the gym or introduce something more strenuous or time-consuming it actually discourages me from starting the next morning - so I'm going to stick with what works for a bit longer.

This morning:

1 minute plank hold = not a rep.
300 crunches = 300 light reps = 3.0BSP
30 push-ups = 30 light = .3.BSP
3.3 for the day, for a running total of 46.8 BSP.

I did a brief but tiring squat workout tonight.

Light reps - 130 = 1.3
Medium reps - 28 = 0.56
Heavy reps - 10 = 0.4

2/19 BSPs - 2.26

Current total BSPs: 38.92

Today was day one of three of my Russian Kettlebell Certification to be an instructor.

At his level we're expected to have perfect form, so we drilled a lot of the nuances. We'd do 5 reps of exercise X, they'd give us a detail that maybe 95% of the class did, bbut we'd focus on that nuance anyway for practice. Then we'd do another 5 reps with a different nuance, maybe this time 90% of us did it right, but again we'd do the reps for practice. Then 5 reps with those two nuances in mind. Then another nuance, and so on. We only focused on 3 moves (with their variations) over the course of roughly 6 hours of teaching, so you can imagine how in depth we practiced the moves to make sure we are progressing from proficient athlete technique to instructor level technique.

We also had 2 regular workouts thrown in the mix.

I was too busy focusing on learning, so I didn't bother to count. Oh well :D

My left arm is still coming back slowly but I am guessing in another 3 months or soo I should be 100 pct. I really really want to tear this up once that happens. I am not entering my numbers now, because it would be kinda cheating. 6 pounds at full arm extension is a heavy rep for my left arm atm. its that bad. Soon as i am more normalized though, I will be on here.

Got up late. 80 lght reps = .8.
51.7 + .8 = 52.5 BSPs.

Wow Qeth. I know form is all-important for health and safety, and probably for best muscle development, too. But who knew there was that level of detail in doing kettleballs? Anyway, congrats on surviving day 1!

330 light reps this morning. 52.5 + 3.3 = 55.8BSP's to date.
