I looked at it from a slightly different point of view. I haven't handled enough Busse family models to truly know what I want. I do know that I love their knives and would like to have a selection to rotate through for different uses. I figure grab bags this year will help me to solidify exactly what I want from Busse and I can get shop credit next year for a custom piece.

The car salesman analogy holds up but with the addition of it being a high end dealership with sought after cars and long wait lists and the cars hold their value that is selling me a selection of their models at a 30% discount off retail.

I am not much for creating content but I might make an unboxing video when they show up. If the selection has some treasures in it all the more exciting!
 
SO will the 700.00 grab bag be valued at 907.00 or 29%
(somewhere between the 25% and 33% of the 500.00 and 1000.00 grab bags )

I don't recall seeing a $700 grab bag but that estimate seems about right. The bigger the grab bag the higher % of savings. Can't wait to see what new models are going to drop!

I’d imagine the shop has specific model(s) set aside just for the $700 Grab Bag, but only time will tell.

Only 4? I was thinking the 5th is a real one.
First 3 are the obvious standard X, Y, & Z axes. 4th is time, as usual.

The fifth is a real Busse Doozy - only works if you're the only one at the table with a Busse: You pull your dual Triceratops during a poker game, stick'em 1/2" into the tabletop right next to your warm glass of single malt, and everyone else at the table Folds. 🥃🗡️♠️
