Well I got to look at the Sebenzas and...

You're right about newer product. Gerber 20yrs ago was the pinical. Now it's just a name on Chinese blah.

There is a lot of Chinese garbage Gerbers. Where a knife is made matters a lot less than what company is making it. Butt (yes, butt intended)......they still make some stuff in Portland. I have a couple of prodigys in go bags that are worth what I paid for them. The new strong arm is worth consideration.

Hey though, why let facts like Country of Origin get in the way. If you want to bash the Sebenza for no reason, might as well spread other misinformation as well

My Gator Folders are from Portland (not sure if they make any overseas of that model, I haven't seen one) and I think my EZ Out is too. The Prodigy looked nice, good to know it is worth it.

I don't know if I would say they are worth the price they go for online but I bought mine off the exchange NWT for about half what you get them for elsewhere.

The Strong Arm is basically a prodigy with a better sheath and a available in PE. If it was in a better steel I would gladly pay a bit more and have one by now.

Oh I didn't know Prodigy was SE only, that's too bad. I hate when they don't make both.

Yucky, what is that stoopid "knife"?

It is so stupid and farty even. Certainly has no utility. Though, the tolerances are really tight I hear.

I love my Militaries too, though I have had to send a few straight to the factory upon arrival. I carry a CF BG42, and a G10 S30V Military often. Very light for a 4" bladed knife, and a great design for sure.
But my older Sebenza's are my favorites. I've used the heck out of one of my 1997 Regulars(BG42), and after sending it in for a reblasting the thing still looks(and functions) as new. Never developed a bit of lock stickiness or blade play.
Never once had a screw come lose, and that's with no Loctite at all. In my 45 years of carrying knives that's the only one that was heavily used and carried that I can say that about.
I think most that have carried and used one for an extended time will know what tighter tolerances brings to the table.

I couldn't care less what someone owns. I am against anti-logic which is where fanaticism bullies opinion.
I don't care what you own. If you're happy, awesome! When idiots sugest you're stupid for not praising Sebenza, I can't be quiet. Damon 2nd amendment.

Not sure but I think you meant damn 1st amendment?

Also, fanaticism goes both ways you know?

I live in the NorthWest. The Ridiculousness of the Sebenza is the same as saying Starbucks is the only measure of coffee.

CRK has no style or design. CRK sucks as a modern design!

*sigh* It's only getting weirder.
Why did I have to look at this trainwreck again :p

I can't even tell if people are being serious or not in this thread anymore.
Lord, please give me those moments back so I can stare at paint dry instead.
