Well I got to look at the Sebenzas and...

You people have WAAYY too much time on your hands.

.....probably represented by Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Tag, etc. with unbelievable tolerances, finish, warranty and acclaim but don't keep time as well as a battery Timex.

Kind of a Kardashian thing. To some it's all in the marketing illusion...like the guy above who said opinion doesn't matter.

Hmm, wisdom

My highest respect, in engineering, goes to the lowest tolerances. The most famous rifle in human history is the Kalashnikov AK47. More dependable than any automatic rifle because of its lack of tolerances.

And you think that applies to knives as well
The tolerances of the Sebenza is what gives it it's dependability and longevity.

Mmmm... bacon! I love bacon.

If I went on and on about how much I love bacon to someone who's never had it before to the point where they want to try it, and when they do, they say: "meh, it's ok I guess" or worse "no sir, I don't like it" I wonder if I would want to punch them in the ear.

Probably not. Just more bacon for me!:D

Whatever. Who hasn't touched a stupid Sabenza!

Goodness. Give it a rest. We know you don't like CRK already.

Frankly, my SOG flash II has better fit and finish than all my Militaries.

(Joking for effect of course, I only own one mil :D).

LOL I have 20 year old Gerbers I've never taken apart, or cared about tolerances.

The whole notion is ridiculous

Ok, I just want to know.
Why does it seem like you've made it your life' goal to debunk the Sebenza and it's owners?

What is this whole "tolerance" thing you mention. I don't believe I mentioned such a phrase in my post you quoted. And as far as owning your gerbers....that would be your problem not mine. I fail to see the relevancy here.

Now if only my dumb military had an S35vn blade like a quality Sebenza it could cut a wrap better on my delicious pick nick to the library!

(and yes, I do have a monocle)

Screw the Millie, the Sebenza, and all y'alls Gerbers. I want that wrap.

It's past my lunchtime.

I couldn't care less what someone owns. I am against anti-logic which is where fanaticism bullies opinion.
I don't care what you own. If you're happy, awesome! When idiots sugest you're stupid for not praising Sebenza, I can't be quiet. Damon 2nd amendment.

I'm with ya! Stomach is master

Have you bought any Gerbers in the last few years? When I first got into knives, I bought on A.R. 3.5 with part of my first paycheck. It was an okay knife. The Gator folders have so far through the years been very good for the price, though I haven't beat on them or anything. My EZ-Out is also fairly okay. I've tried some others just to see, but they haven't held up/performed as well. I can't say I'm a Gerber fan but I try to keep an open mind since some of their products still work okay. I only ask because I'm wondering if anything in their newer product lines is worth having.

You're right about newer product. Gerber 20yrs ago was the pinical. Now it's just a name on Chinese blah.
