Well...It's Friday...

Sotch. What time is it there when it is 3 pm eastern standard in the USA? Do you have to get up in the middle of the night to shark?
 
And likely a long drool and personal debate over the Fotki page before that, Scotcha! Sharks feed when the feedin's good.

So how does this work? Fiddleback makes a handful of knives and collectors just scoop them up? I've been on these forums for 3 weeks. I just want a tapered Woodsman!

Not exactly... Fiddleback makes roughly 25-35 knives a week and puts them up on Friday's sale thread for us to try and snag one. Some go fast, some hang around for a bit. They also have an extensive list of dealers who have some great knives in stock. With that said, not all of us that snag these knives up on Friday's are "collectors", in fact I believe these knives see a LOT of use compared to some other sought after knives. Also, if you only go after a "tapered Woodsman" it could make your search a little bit tougher. You may try broadening your horizons and have a few different models that you think would work for you... while eventually landing that Woodsman. We all have a "GRAIL" knife, some have been searching for 4 months like myself, some have been searching for more then 4 years. Good luck, and I hope this helps!
 
So brutal. I could probably do with any of the bigger blades. I kind of want to save myself a lot of time and spend an extra couple hundred for a murray carter, but even those don't look as gorgeous as the fiddlebacks. *sigh*
 
Going to need to acquire some patience for the shark tank. Ive been waiting over 2 years to snag a nice Runt. I blame Bonafide and his Runt obsession :D

Morning sharks. I'm a collector and damn proud of it!

Actually I also use my knives but with all the negative reference to "collectors" being inferred the smart$$ in me couldn't resist ..:D

No negative implication. I have no real use for my knives. I'm just starting to get into the collecting. I got into the knife thing through cooking knives. Now I'm kind of digging outdoor knives.
