Well...It's Friday...

So how does this work? Fiddleback makes a handful of knives and collectors just scoop them up? I've been on these forums for 3 weeks. I just want a tapered Woodsman!

I've seen Woodsmans offered at dealers. Just go to http://www.fiddlebackforge.com/index.cfm/purchasing/. There is a list of eight dealers you could browse through, and they frequently receive new inventory. There might be a Woodsman offered today. You might also consider a Duke, it's like a Woodsman with more belly. Go to http://public.fotki.com/FiddlebackForge/knives-15/page77.html knives offered today start on 77.

Good luck with your search!

What's up everyone?? I've been out of the loop for a short while.
Hope everyone is doing well and has a nice weekend.

Nathan and I had an idea of making flash cards with the profiles on them, then quiz yourself like they used to do back in WWII trying to identify airplanes.

Haha!! That's a great idea! I've just been doing lots of reading and looking at pictures you've all posted. The Shadetree Collection thread has been very helpful.

Man, I really like the handle configuration on the sapphire Stubbymuk.

I don't think it is tapered though from what I can see. I wonder why they aren't all tapered. Seems like that is a pretty desirable feature.

I saw an interview with Andy at Blade Show, he said some costumers prefer the weight in the handle of a SFT.

Maybe the shop could come up with a set of metal or plastic labels that they could put in the picture? It's not my call, but the identification seems to confound lots of folks, myself included. Kind of like the chips that they use on X-rays to show that it's the left knee.

Kinda like this:

I'd suggest making the tags a little more embellished, but it shows my point.
It's not S110V; just giving you something to discuss and think about...
