So I was curious for you senior sharks. Do you guys refresh the locked thread and then when it shows unlocked post your "I'll take it" message or do you wait till the clock hits exactly 3 and then post an "I'll take it" in the locked thread? I'm assuming if you click post at exactly 3:00 in the locked thread maybe the message would post but I'm not sure. Does that make sense?

Guess I'm curious on the exact mechanics for you guys that get your posts in right exactly at 3:00. Though maybe these are trade secrets learned through time with trial and error that you wouldn't want to share Lol

You can't post to a locked thread so it's really about doing a refresh and then adding your reply as soon as you see it's open. Don't go by time because your pc clock might be off.

Thanks for the input and yes refresh seems to be the safe way to go. Clicking post while your screen still shows the thread locked is like trying to get the jump on the quarterback before the ball is snapped so to speak. Since you technically don't know if the thread is being unlocked right exactly at three and you also have your computer clock versus the server clock to contend with.
 
Caution because you can only post once a minute. If you make a post elsewhere in the forum it will make you wait .. helplessly
