Morning folks. We are planning for an early thread today. Images are up on Fotki. Andy, Allen, and I are leaving after lunch to head up into the mountains for the quarterly Georgia Knifemaker's Guild meeting this weekend. Hoping to have the thread up before lunch, I'll give a more accurate update as I can here.
 
Dang we get a heads up now? How am I supposed to be fashionably late have all the knives are gone and not spend anything?
 
This will be the first time I have a chance at this.
Is there a specific thread created, or do they go up in the fiddleback Friday thread? I really don't want to miss out!

There will be a new thread with today's date in the thread name similar to "Fiddleback Friday - 08/15/2014"
 
Well, it's Friday again. I'll probably pop in and out to see what this Friday holds in store. I could use some eye candy for a distraction. My wife's father passed away late Wed night, and this morning she is heading out on a long road trip for the ceremony at the National Cemetery, and to spend some time with her mother. May have to try to snag something to keep my mind in a good place. It is going to be a long two weeks here in retrospect.

Just went through this myself, including full military at Nat Cemetery. Don't kick yourself. You're taking care of his daughter - and to him, there is no greater trust that he could give to anyone. He knew you cared my friend...
 
Sorry to hear of the loss, Mist. Even under the best if circumstances, death comes with regrets. I suspect if you could count them up, the times you DID call or were with him FAR outnumber the times you did not. Your last action is not the sum total of your relationship.

Take care of your family. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
