Well...It's Friday...

Just went through this myself, including full military at Nat Cemetery. Don't kick yourself. You're taking care of his daughter - and to him, there is no greater trust that he could give to anyone. He knew you cared my friend...

Thanks man. I like to think he knows, and that the busy was in trying to take care of his daughter.

Sorry to hear of the loss, Mist. Even under the best if circumstances, death comes with regrets. I suspect if you could count them up, the times you DID call or were with him FAR outnumber the times you did not. Your last action is not the sum total of your relationship.

Take care of your family. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Michael

Thanks Michael. I am going to miss hanging out talking with him. I did several larger projects on their house, and we would talk for hours.

Sorry for your family's loss Mist.

Thanks Bill, much appreciated man.

Brian, We are all very sorry to hear about your loss!

Thanks Will, right now there is such a big void that came unexpectedly. I am still processing that he is gone, I can just imagine how my wife feels right now. I have been awake for right at thirty hours now, and don't feel comfortable with the idea of sleeping with her on a 13 hour road trip.

So sorry to hear about your lost Mist.

Wishing you and your family the best in a difficult time.

Tod

Brian, sorry to hear about your loss. Don't beat yourself up too much about a phone call, it was the life you shared with him and his daughter and everyone else that is important in the big picture.

Hi folks,

Photos are up on Fotki now. I am working on getting the thread written and posted. I will give a heads up in here when I think it will go - not entirely sure right now. I am writing and posting from my parent's house in CT, Andy took the photos in the shop this morning. So please pardon any confusion in advance, hopefully there won't be any.

Also - heads up for next Friday - Andy will be posting the thread like the old days, and I'm guessing there won't be a heads up before hand. So it'll be old school sharking....

Ah! If you are able to paypal for a sharked knife this afternoon that would be great - I'll be prepping all the shipping labels so they don't have to cover that part of my absence next week. No worries if you can't but if you can it's appreciated.

Thanks,
Ken

Brian,

I am sorry to hear about your father-in-law passing. I had a similar regret a long time ago. It caused me to make more effort to stay in touch with the important people in my life. I hope that your family ultimately draws closer as a result of this sad day.

Phil
